Driving to work the other morning, I was doing my usual 5 MPH or so more than anyone else on 635 East when I went around a guy in a new Cayenne S. I had seen him well before I got up to him because he was trying to get through traffic. He was getting balked almost every time he changed lanes, so he wasn't making very good progress. I guess I look further up the road and have a better feel for traffic than him (from riding/raodracing motorcycles for years and years) because I got around him and put some distance on him fairly easily. I was still just doing about 70-75, easing through traffic, coming up on the Tollway North exit when he came flying by and dove in front of me for the exit. He wasn't really pushing it very hard through the 270 degree downhill exit ramp (or was he?) and it was easy for me to stay right behind him through the long curve. There was VERY little triffic on the Tollway as we got on so I waited to see if he was going to get on it. Once he seemed to have the hammer down, I decided it was time to let him have it. It was shamefull, really. I went by him so quick that by the time I got to 85 he was WAY back, so I leveled off to see if he was still coming and he zoomed right back up. He never made eye contact, but he paused for just a bit then went on down the road as I settled back to my usual 70-75 MPH cruising speed with another happy grin!!!

Sweet. A buddy of mine has the Cayanne and refuses to line up with me, even after i offered him 2 car lengths. I love the respect factor of this truck.

nice story, I came across my first Cayenne Turbo S this morning on the GSP going to work, stayed along side him long enough to catch a look, but the guy behind the wheel wasn't interested in running with me. . . good thing, as the gentlemen from the state trooper's office were just 2 miles up ahead!. . . would've been fun to run with him though, that's a truck that'll give us a fight, and it only costs about 3 SRT8's!

I had my first highway race on Friday night. Some guy in an '01-'03 Mustang GT thought I wasn't problem. Paced him the entire time with 4 people in the car and luggage in the back. The wuss let off when I started to pull ahead.
