We are all in the same boat on this one. I know with my GTI VR6 you could buy a add on 6th gear. That would be nice for this WE NEED IT!!! I would for sure pay for it.

With the gears.... You need to change the front and rear diffs. We are having trouble finding something that will work as an LSD on the rear. I hope we find something soon.

Larger diameter tires would be the cheapest solution. Better ride comfort to boot. Lousy for 1/4 mile drag races though. Each to their own. I'm very happy with stock after owning this truck for 15 months, but I might consider the next size up with the Toyo Proxes once my Goodyears are done. Too bad Mercedes is trying to sell off Chrysler, since I had hoped that Mercedes would have included their 7 speed automatic along with the 6.4 liter Hemi upgrade in the next couple of years.

My srt10 ram has 6th gear and at 75 80mph im reving at 1300rpm.. need the same deal for the jeep .. then we'll be rockin...

We absolutly need a 6th gear!!!!

Itīs a shame to be doing 80 mph at 2800 rpms with a motor this size-

In addition to needing aftermarket gearing changes, front and back, wouldnt we also need sotware reprograming?

They don't make "another" gear that I know of. They make an overdrive unit that attatches where the tailshaft of the tranny/transfercase would go. It splits gears, so it makes a 3spd into a 6spd or a 4spd into an 8spd, etc. I don't think they make one that will fit our transfercase yet, just older ones.
