hi , so i have a friend with a 300c srt8 that pushed me into getting a jeep srt8 i love the truck so much i am getting a 2006 this week but after doing alot of research on the car I am constantly seeing some major issues that way to many people are having..
transfer case problems, awd problems , ranny porblems , shaking steering wheel issues and vibrations.. this is strating to bug me out. I got a extended warranty but never the less i dont want to start dealing with all tese issues..
are these just a few stories i am reading? or has everyone had these types of issues? Has anyone actually had the car for 2-3 years problem free more or less?
thank u

I have an '06 with about 20k miles, I have had 2 problems, water pump leaking and replaced at 11Kmiles and window regulators for the 2 front windows. I bought the car new and have had it for almost 4 years,I have not modded it at all, 100% stock.

I have had my 06 forever and have only had it in for an ABS light fix and rear brake squeal. Other than that its been completely problem free and its extremely modded.

I have an 06(08/06) and so far the only thing it has been to the dealer for was the leaking tranny o-ring(warranty). I also don't baby mine. Been on 5 road courses. Would you like to see some oil analysis of the motor?

for a high performance vehicle, and I've had several, the jeep's record is great. Check out any of the other car's forumboards, and you'll see what I mean. Remember, those without problems aren't posting up. If you're really worried, then consider an aftermarket warranty from Chrysler or another good source. I'm still on the fence personally, but will probably buy a chrysler warranty later this month.

I agree with most of you guys...all cars will have their issues...as far as the jeep....water pump leak at around 8,000 miles...replaced under warranty...so far all good...knock on wood...

...bottom line...it's about how you maintain it and drive it...for the most part...

I just bought an 06 with 35K miles on it. I got a lifetime powerterrain warranty with a $100 deductible so I plan on driving it hard. I have a small whine in the rear at 60-80mph but I think there was TSB or something for the yoke. I have a friend who works parts and the dealer and he is looking into it for me. He is going to run my VIN and tell me what has been done to it TSB wise.
