I want to thank everyone for their support. I have not spoke with Michael in the recent moments but just about 1 minute ago I received my 20% back. Thank you Michael for making this right. I feel that this was the fair thing to do from the start and I appreciate your resolve.

That's excellent!
I was really watching this thread closely because I do like the look of the racemesh grills, but am unwilling to purchase from anyone who does not do 100% for all their customers. They will have an order from me.... just wished it hadn't taken the forum to make things right. ;)

Great news for you!! The importance of customer service should never be taken lightly by a company. I've never even heard of racemesh before these threads, now i'll at least check them out.

Race Mesh did the right thing..... Now I'll order my grill without hesitation.

That was very kind of Mike. Even though he did not have to do it.

Funny how the Positive thread gets 5 reponses, yet the NEGATIVE thread spans 6 pages....

You may be right about the drama. I have to say though that Mike actually did have to do it based on his own self interest - which is what drives us all. The customer experience and word of mouth travelling over something like the Internet can make or break a business the same way it can a movie. Positive experience drives sales. Who is right or wrong is trivial next to managing your customers experience. Bending on his policy in this case is just smart business. Racemesh's reward will be continued sales from this group (who now also know that once your order is placed you are on the hook for at least a restocking fee - so be certain) but also the residual effect of people here recalling how Racemesh reacted in a positive way. This will generate sales beyond this board.
I for one am happy to put the drama behind me.

Glad to see a new thread to get things straight and get the word out. Like Mango said, they didn't have to do it, but they did and now things are cool with ramtough15 and potential customers of Racemesh (myself included) can be confident that they'll do the right thing and maintain a high level of product quality and satisfaction...

But we, as consumers, still need to read the fine print, and not rely on the forum to absolve us of that responsibility! :D

I am not expecting everyone to come back on and say something - I just wanted to say we have a vendor who did the right thing and I am happy for Randy that this worked out.

I think it's great that Randy got his refund. I think it's crap that it took all or our input to make it happen.

It should have taken ZERO pages for Mike to do the right thing, and I for one am not going to thank Mike for doing what he should have done in the first place. A kind vendor goes above and beyond, an honest vendor never takes a dime he didn't earn, in this case Mike is neither. Mike is a vendor who was kind and honest ONLY AFTER being backed into a corner. I won't call Mike a crook, but taking someones money based on fine print, when you haven't done anything or incurred any expenses, is certainly crooked.

My kudoes to you for sticking to your principles and to RACHMESH for putting the customer first. It will always payoff in the longhaul. So back to "gentleman, start your motors!"...

I completely agree. And I'm surprised how easily everyone seems to immediately jump back on the wagon, once the money was mysteriously refunded after all the hassle Ram was put through. I've followed both threads on both sites, and hoped there would be a fair outcome. No, Racemesh wasn't obligated to refund the money, but was more of a unique judgement call on a unique situation. There's typically fine print in most business transactions now-a-days for obvious reasons. But this was a moral judgement call on RaceMesh's part that they chose to not work with the customer, for a while, and then once they realized they would lose pretty much every potential customer reading these threads, they stubbornly refunded the money. I say stubbornly, because from what I read, no apology, no explanation, and no communication came with that refund. Sad to say, I don't think this would have been the outcome, had Ram not come on here and stated his case in front of Racemesh's potential customers. This of course is my opinion, the intent to do what they actually ended up doing, was not there for 90% of this situation.
I look at it like this, RaceMesh, in the end, did what they thought most of us wanted to see as an outcome, NOT what they would have orginally decided as we could see from Mike's original responses. So, obviously the situation ended up, for the most part, resolved. But this should allow the potential customers to see first hand, how the business chooses to implicate their "policies." If by chance you are considering using their services in the future, strictly because in the end, they gave in to a publicly known problem...........I just hope a similar situation in not thrown your way. Because, now you know the integrity which you will be working with.......... The age old question resides, are you concerned with just the "end", or the "means to an end"?

I totally agree with you Krush! Mike had to be strong-armed into doing the right thing. It is truly disappointing that it took the forum kicking Mike's ass, in order to make him man up. Nice job guys... way to support one of our own!

What is your problem? If you actually READ my posts, I was trying to actually help the issue.

What's REALLY funny is how you enjoy flamebaiting people. Actually, it's really sad.

YOU, on the other hand, hung Racemesh out to dry with less than 50% of the information...again...pretty sad.
