He heads to his car and comes back 3 minutes later and hands me a ticket for 116 in a 60 to which I say "HOLY ****!"
Him "G&D D$MN BOY, YOU BOUT BLEW UP MY RADAR GUN, I KNOW YOU WAS DOING 127-130!, NOW SLOWDOWN FOR CHR&STS SAKES!"
and heads back to his car! 4 minutes tops! My buddy whos early forties says "That ticket just fortifies how BAAAD! this thing is, Id put my built vette against this ('67 big block)"
And that is the beginning of this huge ass grin on my face right now!

Yea,but the fine is only half of it,how many points goes with that..here is would be about 8 just based on a single speeding ticket of that speed.Then they will usually throw reckless driving on top of it!Glad you are not in the slammer though!

All & all not too bad. You're lucky you don't live in Pa. Here that would be twice the price and automatic suspension and driver training.

I'd be very thankful for that ticket. Where I'm from that's a ticket for up to $10,000 and the good possibility of crushing your car.:eek:

Talk about going thru all your 9 lives all at once. Here in TX, you would have been arrested, car impounded, possibly a suspension of your license unless you lawyered up pretty good.

I was about to say , here in RI anything over 100MPH is straight to Jail and the car gets towed to an impound yard .

The state police here in OR.and WA.aren't that bad,I passed one doing 20 over and he didn't even bother.... plus Regestration and Insurance is cheap.. It's a great place to live.

I paid $341 for 60 in a 40 in Auburn Ca. Spokane is a sweet place I have friends that live there, great riding I almost never see cops there. And this is yet another reason it is cool!

I spent two days in jail for a ticket similar here. (with my 03 Cobra) The fine/court costs were only $65 though. ;)

Worth it in my opinion to stay in jail, they had better cable than I had at home.

Guess all we can do these days is let it snort coming off the on ramps a bit, up to the posted speed limit and funs over for that day! Not like old times anymore. :o(

My thoughts exactly.That's all I usually do.Damn.I'm too scared to do anything after a 93 in a 55 ticket a few years back.And yet I see all these guys doing top speed runs on here and I just wonder what it would be like.:(

The guy I bought my Jeep from also has a Corvette. He told me he got hit one time doing 147 in a 45!!! (In Texas the interstate frontage roads are 45mph).

Handcuffed, taken to jail, 14 months suspended license and 18 months probation!

Great responses guys! I really thought id see more cop cars pull up, ask me to get out, hand me several tickets. Nothing but the speeding. Although I was scared to death when he came back to my car the second time and put his hat on which he hadnt the first time. Thought maybe it was to make a point. My said he thought I was lookin at 7500 in tickets!

90 in a 65 in VA = reckless driving...showed up to court in my ACU's (army uniform) and the judge throw out my ticket and thanked me for my service...then told me never speed in his county again! lol

+1 for me too. I'd fight that one through a traffic ticket service. Now fighting 56 over might be pushing it. However its worth paying to fight any traffic ticket to keep your demerits and insurance premiums down.
