you have to be real close to get beeping

Yup, like KRamsey I get the beep once I am very close to an object.

Hi guys! My first post here.

According to the manual:

"When the obstacle is detected at a distance of about 59
inches (150 cm) from the rear fascia, the outermost LEDs
of the warning display will be ON with increased brightness.
Along with the LED, a half second tone will occur."

I am not hearing this and it sounds like you guys aren't either. It does beep as stated once the red lights come on though.

nope - no half second tone for me. Just furious beeping right before I plough into something, or in my case elect to use the brakes. Works well though and saves me or passengers listening to unnecessary beeping.

We have two of these jeeps in our fleet here, and the first one purchased over a year ago will have the beeps sound very eary on and continue to beep more and more. However, my jeep, only a few months old does not beep until i hit the red light and it is continuous.

Disturbing indeed, I had put alot of faith into that little sound from driving jeep 1 , and when jeep 2 came around and had no sound, day two i nearly said good bye to the rear bumper via an old steel-bumpered truck.

any solutions? and or answers? fixes?
