I recently accepted a job outside the USA in a remote location and the only fuel sold is Mid-grade. I will be there for 2 years and the speed limit is only 25mph. Will using the mid-grade pose a problem?

Hmmm.... sticking to 25mph might be your real problem :D

Sorry, I don't have a clue about the fuel grade.

It wont be a problem, but you could also have a tuner make you a tune to run mid grade fuel in your jeep.

Where are you going? I only have 91 oct. around me and that is all I can run. I actually had to put 2 gallons of 87 in mine last night cause I was out of gas in the middle of nowhere and the town only had 87... as long as the engine doesnt ping you should be fine. If it does put it back to the stock tune until you can get one made for low grade fuel.

Yeah knock sensors will take care of that. I'm guessing you're going to Bermuda.

1) A custom tune would keep you safe.
2) Given the 25mph speed limit you will probably take forever to go thru a tank of gas... You could run an octane booster with each tank fillup and it wouldn't break the bank. May be cheaper than the custom tune.

Thanks for the good info guys. I'll be going to Guantanamo Bay, Cuba. I have a few months, I will try and get a custom tune or stock up on Octane Booster before I go.

What kind of job did you get? Civilian contractor stuff? I'm a Security manager for a defense contractor and I've been thinking about going for a cuba gig if I can find the right one.

LOL, I had really considered that. Around here, at home, I get on the interstate and I cruise at 75-80. 25mph is going to be a major adjustment, I might get kicked out for speeding. The SRT wasn't built to for 25mph.
