Snorkel mod:

A) Remove 6 clips holding the top of the grill to the body, the lean grill forwards, out & up
B) Note intake tube next to the passenger side headlight that kinks towards the driver's side at the very end.
C) Cut kink off enough to straighten it out and smooth the edges
D) Reverse step A to re-install grill
E) Amaze your butt-o-meter! (not really)

Open the hood--Duh!
Pull the six retaining clips holding the bumper with a screwdriver
Remove grill up and out
Note snorkel opening faces to the right (driver side)
Use sawzall, dremel, sharp knife to cut opening to the left and up to fully expose the snorkel.
Put grill back in with retaining pins and you're done.
Takes like 10 minutes.
Later on in the week I can take pics of needed.
My camera was dead yesterday or I would have snapped some pics

Sarge did a dyno on the mod and you're looking at like a 6 HP gain. For 10 minutes of your time and $0 moolah, you can't really complain.

You should get your baby dynoed to see how you are sitting.

Could you PLEASE ask Sarge to post the dyno sheets showing the 6 HP gain from this mod.

I already have the DUB CAI and am skeptical of the HP gain.

Dont have pics of the front snorkel mod, but here is the under airbox mod to the front brake scoop. Less than $10 at any hardware store. I got 3.6 hp gain on the dyno from this. I've had this since Oct. and went throuhg a snowy winter with no issues. Just cut open the tube under the stock airbox, then also cut the curved part of the brake scoop and connect the two via a piece of 4'' flex tube and 3 to 4'' adaptor. Once installed, I punched a 1/4'' hole at the bottom of the flex tube for water drainage.

***this might be a dumb question...is the snorkel mod only done with stock intake or can be done with K&N?

I don't know. Does the K&N intake leave the snorkel in place? If so, then yes.

If you're talking about just a K&N drop-in filter, then the answer would be yes.

Even a *dumber* question. Will the mod work with the Bwoody intake? If not, what works best?

I have the complete stock taken out and have a K&N filter and chrome tubing in place...is that what you mean?

If you have the complete stock air intake out, then yes, you have the K&N intake or CAI.

If you only put a square K&N in the stock airbox, then you just have a filter, like me.
