you have no periods at all.. please take a breath.. but seriously your complaining about the mpg and the ride in the fastest production SUV... what did you expect? bralke dust can be fixed with new pads and i hope you knew it was alil on the small side... i'm not sure what to make of the post since its hard to read but everything you listed was a fact about these trucks before you bought it.. so why did you?

I am sure you shopped around, but sounds like a horrible trade $ in light of what '06's have been selling for privately. You get a tax savings on trade, but since you had an '07, you might have done better on a private sale. I don't think any even on ebay have gone for so low.

But enjoy the Denali. They have always been a nice truck.

Hello all my first post, I myself have considered purchasing one this week and am ready to consumate the deal and am very disappointed to read this thread. I was hoping the SRT8 would hold resale value. I'm watching this thread carefully. Can this true?

Jeff - why worry about it? If you know what a performance vehicle drives like, and understand what you are getting in to, then why on earth would you need to trade it in???

I've had mine for nearly a year, and can honestly say, this is the one vehicle I have owned that I could seriously see keeping past the 5 years it takes me to pay it off. I figure, by then the PCM will be cracked and I can start modding the hell out of it ;)

Thats what Im talking bout!!!!

Im keeping my rough riding, Gas guzzling, sorta small, mean AZZ monster!!

I only have a couple complaints about mine....most of which can be fixed...

the only ones I cant fix are, bad mileage and small back seat.

If the ride gets too rough for me Ill bag the back,
Im fixing the rattles with the stereo upgrade

My local Dealership just sold a USED 2006 with 20,000 miles for $41,000.

I'd say they hold their value well.

Also, asphaultcowboy, attempting to read your posts gives me a headache, so I just skip them.

You're getting resale and trade-in confused. Asphaltcowboy got trade-in on his Jeep, he did not sell it privately.

You NEVER get a great deal on trade in with a dealership unless you are "in bed with them".

$33500 Incredible...the dealer is laughing his ass off on that deal. He stole your 07! He will turn around and sell it for $39000 all day long! Unless you wrecked the vehicle, or it has a ton of miles... YOU GOT PUNKED! Enjoy that over priced Denali.:D :p

Thats to bad.

I LOVE my Jeep! Great power, tons of fun, fast, brakes great, looks great.

Must not be for you.

The new denali looks like a pig. Wide flat front, big headlights, slow.

Also this is the way you spell denali not denli.

Well the reason I'm concerned is this, it will be my wifes daily driver and when we need to out as a couple we'll use the Jeep. My wife really wanted a Mustang Shelby GT 500 convertible. I myself couldn't even get in it (bad back two herniated discs, etc) I need a higher vehicle to get into and even now I have 3 other four wheel drive vechicles.
Now to make a long story short years ago I had Leukemia and even now I still have in the back of my mind I look foward to her future if I meet a untimely demise. So if someday I'm out of the picture I don't think she would want to keep the Jeep and may trade it in on a vehicle that more suits her needs and wants.
And actally this week as we were discussing the choice between a 300C AWD and the Jeep SRT and she asked what vechicle would hold it's value more, I told her I think the Jeep would.
So thanks all.

Jeff - I agree that the Jeep would. As a matter of fact, this post is the first I have heard anyone question the resale. In many cases used are going for almost as much as new. Hope that helps your worries.

A stock "denali runied 13.92"? Anyone know if this is true? The new '07 GMC 403hp only does 0-60 in 6.3s(which is fast for a 4wd truck). Now I have to go trade my GC for a ghetto bus.

The guy is a wack job. Based on his spelling he probably meant 19.12!:D

I would HOPE that you are not basing your purchasing decision on ONE post from ONE person who, if the story can even be believed, got sucker-punched by a dealer on a trade-in.

Furthermore, no details were posted on the supposed deal, important facts to consider like the condition of the trade-in, the mileage, the price of the new vehicle, and so forth. Numbers by themselves mean NOTHING without the rest of the equation in place.
