Any advise would be appreciated?

You need to set all 3
HS= high speed
MS= medium speed
LS= low speed
These are the speeds of the fan not mph

from centraltexhemi
Turn on Predator and go to the Performance Tunes line.

Agree to the disclaimer

Press the Custom Tune line (not sure on the Diablo Canned Tunes?)

Select the tune that you prefer (if you have more than 1 tune saved).

Go to the Modify Tune line.

Agree to disclaimer

Then select Modify Parameters.

Now you need to look for the "Cooling Fans AC Off" line.

Now you will see 6 sublines.
170* Setting 180* Setting (first number is for the 170 second is for the 180)

High MPH HS Fan On

184.xx -170 stat / 195.xx-180 stat

LS

166.xx -170 stat / 178.xx-180 stat

MS

175.xx-170 stat / 185.xx-180 stat

Low MPH HS Fan

184.xx-170 stat / 195.xx-180 stat

LS

166.xx-170 stat / 178.xx-180 stat

MS

184.xx-170 stat / 195.xx-180 stat

Once done with the above, exit back to the list of parameters you want to modify and go down one line to the,

Cooling Fans AC On line. There will only be 3 sublines to do here:

HS Fan On

184.xx -170 stat / 195.xx-180 stat

LS

166.xx-170 stat / 178.xx-180 stat

MS

184.xx-170 stat / 195.xx-180 stat

Exit out and install tune.

Yes. You need to change the fan settings. Otherwise, sitting in traffic, you'll see the temps climb WAY up. If the thermo is open at a cooler temp, but the fan isn't running to keep the coolant cool, there's no point in the 180 thermostat.

One of the hardcores may be able to give a better answer...

Yes those are the correct fan settings. There is no MS on our trucks even though it says MS. Like Wade has given you, make the MS the same as the HS.

Thanks, driving it today and tonight it's been staying at a constant 180* 185* respectively with no issues in stop and go etc. I have been hearing from others that some do the fan setting changes and other do not?

Is it possible to set these parameters on a non-tuned WK1 with a Jet 180* T-Stat? If so, how? Starscan computer at the dealer??

Would the 180* work without setting the parameters on a completely stock WK1?

Are these steps the same on the Canned Diablo tunes, cause I see it says "not sure with the canned tunes"...........i just dont wanna go into the tune that is already installed and mess with the fan parameters and end up screwing the tune up, ya know???

The tstat will open around 180 as designed but the fans will not turn on until the stock temps are reached. To adjust the fans to turn on sooner to take full advantage of the 180 tstat, you need to modify the fan settings via a tuner (predator, trinity, intune).
