Last Saturday night, it was 4 degrees and the streets were clear in Chicago. So, I decided to take my truck out for a spin and allow it to inhale some TRUE COLD AIR. I was traveling along the Dan Ryan Expressway, doing about 45mph for a stretch and I decided to give a little gas and quickly accelerated to 75mph. All of a sudden, I look in my rear view mirror and noticed blue flashing lights quickly approaching me. I pull over and a State Trooper approaches my Rig. I instantly began to beg for mercy by telling him that I am sorry for speeding and that I was just out having a little fun because I don't drive my truck in the winter time because of the heavy snow fall and icy roads...........Believe it or not, he tells me that he understands because he has an GCSRT8 as well!!!!!!! We began to talk about our Rigs for about 5 minutes and he tells me to slow down and be safe........:D

I work with a ton of LE from US customs (here right now for vax) to local guys to corrections, sheriff and park police and generally they're great dudes. . . a few pricks can really sour it for the rest though :(

Cool story! During the summer a cop pulled me over and wanted to BS about my Jeep cuz he said he was looking for one as well and I thought he was pulling me over for the tint.

Thats a great story!! I honestly think state troopers are nicer then most local cops, around me at least. I have only had one bad run in with a state trooper and for all I know he had a bad day. He didnt give me a ticket, just kinda yelled at me for a little bit.
However I have heard stories about some of the local areas cops. I had one try to get me. Let me in front of him at a light and then pulled me over for cutting him off and gave me a ticket :mad:
