: Limited Availability?
OpTimus 06-02-2006, 09:25 AM Has anyone heard of or seen a "LIMITED AVAILABILTY" fee of $10,000 on the invoice , just wondering if this is just pocket money for the dealership or if this is common  , also I was told by my salesman and the supposed " Floor Manager "that It was not possible to order a gc srt8 with the options that i wanted, after reading the forums its obviously more BS to stick me with a 57,000 price tag. If anyone from the S. florida(WPB) area is in the market to buy one i would stay away from ARRIGO !! . Anyone know of a good dealership around S. Florida? :D
jms935 06-02-2006, 09:48 AM Florida seems to be a hot market for these. Your neighbors seem to not have a problem with paying thousands over sticker. Thus the dealer BS of the "limited availabilty" fee. Buy one out of state and have it shipped, it will be much cheaper. Besides wouldn't you rather get it now if you can find one with your options, as opposed to ordering one, then finding out months later you're not getting it or it is delayed. Go for the instant gratification. You could probably get a better deal on an '06 now with the '07's just around the corner.
Search dealers in Michigan on Jeep.com. Then lineup your transport service, you'll have your truck in a couple of weeks.
FYI, I did as I mentioned above a few months ago and paid 1k over invoice. Good luck shopping.
OpTimus 06-02-2006, 10:12 AM thanks for the info , i just might have to shop out of state to get one.
limeylee 06-02-2006, 01:56 PM My Dealers (Southern California) first asking price was 65K, based on limited availability etc.
I told him to shove it and eventually talked him down to msrp.
Good Luck.

The dealership that I was originally going to get mine from wanted $5000 over MSRP and I laughed and walked out. I was able to get it for MSRP and the other dealership still has theres sitting on the lot
all dealers around me have at least one on the lot. very happy I found one with out nav. Can't wait till tuesday, it's gonna be a long weekend.
rutiger 06-02-2006, 06:10 PM same here in the NW. every dealer was asking 10k over and one was asking 5k. i said no thanks and they dropped back to msrp with no fight. didn't bother trying to get below that.
radduc 06-02-2006, 07:38 PM That is F#$king Insaine!!!There are plenty of SRT 8's in NJ and they are all selling at sticker, supply has caught up with demand here.I actually bought mine a month ago for 2,000.00 below sticker from Warnock Jeep in Morristown.I would not pay a penny over sticker. Also if you don't mind waiting I would order an 07 VS the 06 here is what it is going to have.

Untouchable 06-02-2006, 08:37 PM got mine a month ago. Black and has every option. They wanted 49k and I walked out of the dealer after getting them down to 44,500. Smelling blood I held in there and they called back the next day. I signed on the line for 43,500. The owner was pissed that they sold one for that little and I got a call from the dealer to not tell anyone how much I paid for it. hehe
jms935 06-02-2006, 09:26 PM It's a good thing you didn't tell anyone. You just told everyone.
Untouchable 06-02-2006, 10:13 PM doesnt matter anymore, they are out, but I am just trying to show that deals are out there if you stick to your guns, you'll get a good price.
MD SRT-8 06-03-2006, 06:16 AM Got mine about 7 weeks ago. MSRP was $45,800. Got it for $43,600, about $800 over invoice. Inferno Red - Anyone would be a fool to pay a premium now. There are allot of dealers that will make this kind of sale.
And yes, there are allot that will add thousands of greedy dollars.
