I am hard wiring a radar detector (V1) and found the pink/yellow stripe in the overhead console to be a good key switched 12v. Upon searching these forums another member indicated the black wire next to it is ground. Not on my 2007, when you turn the vehicle on there is low voltage running through it. Also tried visor screw as some suggested but it does not give me a ground.

I really don't want to run a wire up there just for ground, this is nuts. Please help!! :confused:

there is none. Run your ground and power up the a pillar from the fuse box.

I used the connection from my rear view mirror. I unplugged the connector and used an ohm meter to get switch power and ground and fed the power and ground wire into the holes and plugged it back in.
