I've been trying to get RM360 (Randy) to run another batch of his highly sought after and extremely popular Billet Antennas. Problem is he can't just machine one for me. He needs to run at least a 20 piece order. Please post a message if you want in. We need to show him that there is enough demand for him to do this. Btw, I just put in an order of the custom srt8 door trim. I believe he's still got a few sets left.

The last time RM360 did this it was $60.00 plus $4.00 UPS. I suggest that we incentivize him by bumping it up to $75.00 or $80.00 plus $4.00 UPS. Most importantly we'll need 20 guys to step up. I doubt this will be a problem since I know a lot of guys wanted it when RM360 sold out his last batch. It will not be available anywhere else so they are as custom and exclusive as they come.

I will keep them at $60.00 plus the $4.00 shipping. All that matters is I need to run at least 20. The piece of aluminum I have to buy will make 20 parts. If I run less than that its a waste of material and I will loose money. There are cheap antennas out there for $20.00 but they look like crap and are not made exact for the SRT8 antenna base like my antenna is but it may be an option if your desperate.

NO they are aluminum and will not rust.

Very easy... un screw the stock antenna and base screw on the new one. The instalation instructions are on the forum.


INSTRUCTIONS TO INSTALL THE BILLET ANTENNA.

Remove the factory antenna.

Remove the factory chrome antenna ring using needle nose pliers. One side of the pliers in the center hole of the chrome ring and the other side of the pliers in one of the notches on the chrome ring. You will need to open the hood and support the antenna base with your hand so it does not fall into the inner fender. You can reach in from the engine compartment side and hold the antenna base.

Screw on the billet antenna and secure. I would suggest using red lock tight on the threads. This is just to prevent people from unscrewing the antenna and trying to steal it.

Even if FOR SOME UNKOWN REASON I don't get the SRT, $64 isn't all that much to drop, and I want to make sure I get in on the order. Besides, I am sure I could re-sell for same price.

just an idea for one of you enterprising fellas out there... buy a handful of them from Randy and sell them on ebay for $80 or $100. You'd at least end up with a free one for yourself, maybe make a few hundred bucks if you buy 10 of them.

If they fit the non-SRT8 then I'm sure there's enough people on ebay who would bid them up over $100.

I am getting my tommorrow and will send pics. He has 3-4 lengths and has all kinds of color-- I am getting the black --my 08 seems to need an adaptor that he has to custom make-- 1/4" i think. I will tell you how it goes.

The antenna looks good. Is that glossy black? As far as painting goes, I might suggest the spray Plasti-dip. It will look like rubber and can be peeled off easily without any damage to the chrome. Might be cool to spray both the antenna and the base to look like one solid piece. I'll try to order one of these soon.

Can you comment on the reception quality? I am interested in AM reception. Can't live without my local sports talk radio.

I only use FM -- I will try some AM channels tommorrow--I really have'nt noticed a difference on FM at all.

Marc -- it is Glossy black-- is the PLatic Dip available in Gloss Black and where do I go to get it.,

Unfortunately Plasti Dip is only available in flat black. You can get it at Home Depot. The spray would be better for this application.

How do these things go on? When you unscrew the factory one, the threaded base comes with it....Will I need a separate part when it comes in? Sorry if there is an idiotic, stupid answer to this.....

Good luck. I purchased one from them and they do NOT ship the
correct adapter. I wrote them, they promised to send one for
my '07, that was over 2 weeks ago....still no adapter.
I hope your experience is better than mine with this company.
