I installed these in june of 09' and i've been meaning to post up some pictures and comments.

-Bendix brake pads (supposed manufacturer of jurid pads(oem)
Front MKD1149
Rear MKD592A
-Ate Type 200 dot 4 brake fluid
-R1 rotors
-CRC disc brake quiet aerosol can
-CRC synthetic brake and caliper grease

First step I masked and sprayed the back of the pad and the underside of the shim with the disc brake quiet. I did 2 layers and allowed each to dry before spraying. Also, I applied some grease to the shim where it contacts the piston. I think this combination is important to insure no squeaking. It's been 6 months squeak free braking.

I also bled the whole system with new fluid. The install of rotors and pads are pretty straight forward.

I've tried many combinations from stoptech slotted rotors with various pads, centric posi, ebc. Obviously oem pads top it all but the price isnt' so attractive. I honestly think the bendix pads yield similar results far better than the other pads i've tried.

My jeep is currently at 92k miles.

I choose the r1 rotors as most of us because of the "bling" factor:D Pricewise it really isn't bad.

On to the pics.

Lovin' the R1s. It's been probably 15,000 miles and I just started to get a squeek again! :(

thanks, they perform pretty well. As I said, great on the streets feels the closest to stock. Really good bite. not sure how they hold up on the track tho?

Huge difference comparing to the posi's and ebc pads. With rotors, the advantages of slotted/drilled can really only be seen on the track. On the street even the most aggressive driver will never get them too hot where they would utilize the slotted/drilled to cool it off.

Have you tried the disc quiet spray? pads need not be new in order to do this. It's worth a shot, the squeaking is annoying.

You guys need to buy the Akenobo pads for an 06 CTS-V on tire racks website. I went the cts-v pads from gmparts direct and they stilled squeeked. I tried greasing them and everything in the book and the still started squeeking. I havent had a peep out of my akenobo pads since I put em on. Just do it.
