I have been a huge fan of the Zaino products for years, the gloss enhancer will still be in my garage. However, I just got done waxing my Jeep, vette, and bikes with a new product that I would swear by...it's called Micro-proxy. It was originally developed for the government by U.S. Technological Research for the Blue Angels aircraft. It's intended use is for aerospace, however, after researching this from multiple consumers applying this product to Z06s, vipers, and other high price cars I decided to try it out. I got say, WOW! After only one appication I retrieved the "wet" look that the Zaino products are famous for. Plus, the bug splatter is easily wiped off. The cost is half of the Zaino products too...

I would highly reccomend this product to anyone, the only problem now is that the "orange peal" on my black SRT-8 is more profound!

Where do you get it from?

Where do you get it from?

A wholesaler, not available to the public...It was intended for the Navy airplanes. Luckily he is a "car guy".

The local corvette clubs rave about this...even talked with a few Viper owners that swear by it. Applied it to my my GC, vette, and my motorcycles. I even told my girlfriend that I would do her car...I hate waxing cars, but this stuff is the real deal. It is only $35.00, and I still have 1/2 left over after "poxying" the above! You have to mix the activator with the poxy...M.(micro thin), A. (Anti-corrosion). C. (clearcoat) E. (Emulsion). U.S. Technological Research, aerospace products division.

I will keep the Zaino "gloss enhancer" but will not buy the the Z...wax again!
After 8 coats of the Zaino Z-5, this does it in one coat, although it does not smell as good as the Zaino Products!;)

Think this is it. Not sure of chemical properties, never used it. Only know one who has. He clear bras and details personal aircraft and high end autos. Appears to be more of a surface sealer. Guy who used it said it still obviously allowed normal pollutants etc to help it deteriorate. Not sure of UV repellants either.

Cost wise was not less than the Zaino 5 or 2 when he factored in the amount of times he could use it. He believed that with multiple coats of 2 he got much more depth and reflection also.

Just me 2 cents, and only passing on the info, not dissin the product.

Well, I liked it...Zaino is good stuff and have used it for many years but I got tired of applying the multple applications, etc. Teda, posted a link for the product which is much cheaper than the local guy I bought mine from:

Well, I will let you know as soon as my 25th car wash is done. So far, two "Mike Car washes" and it still beads like I just waxed it. Honestly, I was just so impressed with the "wet" look that I got after one application. The Z-5 is great, but I did not get that look after one application as I did with the micro-proxy, IMHO. I have used Zaino since 2000, I am switiching to this! I will have more time to spend driving vs. waxing on the weekend and still look just as good!

I don't like spending half a day on the exterior (or interior) and take it to the car wash once a week, have it hand washed once a month and if they miss anything I find later, that's about all I do. I can get away with that because I spent half a day prepping and then using 5 star shine. It's PTFE based and patented. I'd say it's kinda like giving your paint a shine tattoo that really lasts since it's semi permanent.

Ok, I hate sounding like an ad but I like it.

I have a lot of orange peel on my black one too. Wish we could find a product to hide it. Every time I wax it, it appears to show more of the orange peel. Any suggestions other than a new paint job?
