One of the best mods I did on my Mag R/T was tinted tails...

http://www.lxforums.com/gallery/files/6/4/7/3/Mag.jpg

I ordered up a set the other day from 402 Motoring (http://www.402motoring.com/) who runs the Tint My Taillamps (http://www.tintmytaillamps.com/) website. I'm getting all 5 done "medium" like my Mag, and the best part is they have them in stock to do a swap/exchange so there's no down time. As soon as they're in I'll post pics...

I'm usually not a fan of tinted tails, but on your car with that color scheme it looks GREAT!

Thanks Mango, they do a sick/clean job. I tried it myself on a spare tail light I had laying around with some VHT NightShades, and suffice it to say, I'd rather post pics of me riding a pink Vespa naked then show you how that turned out!

I think they'll look hot with my Jeep being black, but to be honest I haven't seen them on a LX I haven't liked yet.

OK, I promise, but man it came out yard-sale ugly! I know some people have the skills to get it done the DIY way, but taking a $7 can of NightShades to a $40K+ brandy new vehicle and ham and egging it ain't my idea of representin'. Kinda like Jenna Jameson...with a cold sore...and hair growin' outta it. Can't wait for those bad boys to show up, I just hope the rear fog light removal doesn't kill my azz, was there a how-to on that around here somewhere?

They are held on by one bolt and two small clips. The bolt is a bear to get to. We needed to loosen the entire bumper to get to the bolts. I will post some pics and detailed instructions later. Overall it was a 3 beer job to remove the fogs

Candyman,

That would be very much appreciated! I'm pretty much a lightweight so things could get real interesting with 3 beers in me! Thanks in advance for the help,

How much were the lamps? I'm going to order them too soon as I get my damn truck....the wait is killing me.

Do you mean the lamps themselves or the tint? They're doing an exchange/swap for me so there's no down time, just had to pay a $225 core charge which I'll get back when I send back the stockers. They're doing some other work for me so I don't have a breakdown on what just the ones for the Jeep run, give them a shout and let them know I sent ya!

OK, I was getting pretty anxious so I checked with Ernie @ 402 to see what was up...

They had a delay getting the brandy new '07 tail lights in, but they're done now and will ship tomorrow. I still haven't found any info for removing the rear fogs, so if anyone could help...

Good news is for anyone else with an '07 looking to do this, as soon as my tails are done my stockers are going back for a core credit, so 402 will have them handy.

Baby steps with the modding right now.

Got a (barely) used set of Zoomers (version 2.0) on the way, which will be joined by a K&N drop in filter and 180 thermostat. Still working on the (no) ESP and fan mod with my LX Forums hook.

First oil change at 700 miles, just to get the break in junk out before a road trip, which should take advantage of my latest mod...

In Motion DVD Nav hack! All those pesky nanny in-motion settings are now disabled so all features can be accessed on the roll...

Woo-hoo, time to mod my signature!

(Whadda nerd...)

I had another post up asking about the rear fog light removal, and posted up a pic there, but wanted to do the same here and finish what I started.

Looks like my cores that are going back to 402 Motoring (http://www.tintmytaillamps.com/) tomorrow are already spoken for by another forum member!

This is the third vehicle I've had 402 do the (medium) tinted tails on. Incredibly high quality work, and just what you would expect from a professional custom auto body shop. I've gone the VHT NightShades route before...NO THANKS, I'll leave it to the professionals.

Who else is next?

Thanks Ernie! Why you I oughta...

I'd wash them @ the shop/industrial park except the water there is gawd awful. I'm on city H20 @ the house and spent a small fortune on a water treatment system, including a nice water softener that makes the car wash bubble up ever so sweetly...and the water glides right off the surface. Of course I didn't buy that just to wash the vehicles...heavens no! ;)

I hope you're ready for some 2-wheel tail related work, it's on the way!
