I bought my GC about two weeks ago from a dealer in NJ.
The night i picked it up he said he just had a brand new "installed two hours before i got there" tire installed on the driver side front.
Any way about four days ago my wife gets in it and says the tire is low, ok its cold out i put air in it. Next day GD tire is low WTF
left the jeep home for the wife to take to the tire shop down the road, she calls me up says there are two cracks in the rim, and someone tried to gypsy rig the cracks with silicone!!!
Called the dealer "used lot" says he knows of no such cracks, we said we would like a used replacement or some funds towards the new one. He told me he would call me in a few.
My question is. Is this a common thing with these rims?
should i replace all four with the forged rims?

uh... yes? The Forged Rims OEM are bare minimum 4k for a set :)
They can be repaired if they are cracked. Usually in upwards of $300 a RIM in some places.
It would not suprise me AT all if the dealer tried to spackle that stuff up OR the person who sold them did. They are a rather pricey piece of the ride.

Damn that suck bro! I would say F**k it and tell them to get you a brand new wheel and not a knock off. Thats BS that they would do that! Make sure they don't try to fix it either because eventually it will crack again. Plus you would not want to ride around with a cracked wheel especially the way we drive our Rigs.
