After Going Around My Credit Problems With Some Help From A Friend, I'm Now Able To Get My Dream Gcsrt8.
Here's The Prob.... I Can't Decide On The Color Evn Though I Test Drove An 07 Red Rock. (impressive Seat Of The Pants Feel)
Anyway- Which Is The One Thats Darker? Red Rock Or Inferno?

I'll Post Pics Mid-month When I Bring Home The Beast.

Inferno is on the 06's. Its more of a bright red. Red Rock is for '07 and is more of a darker maroon red that looks darker in the shade and changes colour in the light.

I Like The Darker Red Personally Guys, Besides I Cant Get Inferno Anymore Anyway. To Me The Red Rock I Drove Kinda Looked Orangy At Night Under All The Dealer Lights.... Gonna Have To Look At It Again In The Daylight I Guess.

My dad has a Red Rock SRT8 and it looks beautiful. Kind of has that color change effect when the sun hits it. Very classy yet beautiful.

I could never get tired of it as it changes colors depending on it's environment, maybe even its mood.:D Red, Orange, Blood Red.... But seriously, I didn't want the red when I thought it was going to be the Inferno, as soon as I saw Red Rock I was sold. Plus if I am not mistaken they don't make as many Red Rocks or Steel Metalic Blues as they do Silver and Blacks.

:D You only wish that you could still get the Inferno!

Inferno Red was discontinued due to being a very expensive color for DCX, only 400 Inferno Red SRT8's were made and in the sun it almost looks on fire, changes colors with every angle and with Zaino the Inferno Red is second to none.

And im a black fan but the Inferno Red sold me when I seen it in person.

I've had an Inferno 06 and now have a Red Rock, Now that I'm doing front end mod's I will be painting my 07 red rock to Inferno Red. Now thats a great color. Maybe even add some more bling to the new paint so it just grabs you. Tony your right on your discribtion of the color.

I agree Tony, love my Inferno...I still wonder why they discontinued it though. It's been available for at least 6-7 years, and is still available on many other models.......Cruiser, Crossfire, Town and country etc. Was always an extra chg for it. Why only the Jeep? Maybe they'll drop it on all next year who knows. If Ron drops a bit more pearl/flake in it with a little base work on his repaint, that sucker will really pop.

naw man i think it's all in good fun. They actually both look cool. I don't have a choice if I'm getting a spanking new 07.... so red rock it is........ unless black really seduces me lol!:D

i just ordered a red rock rubicon. red rock is much nicer then that "corvette torch red"

Hey Inferno...where'd you get the info on the production #s for the Inferno Red SRT's??? According to www.wkjeeps.com, there were 3,257 SRT8 Jeeps produced in 2006, and 26.54% of those were Inferno Red. That works out to 864 Inferno Red Jeeps for 2006, or more than double the 400 you quoted.

I can't even imagine how that thing must feel after it's broken in.... I've never had all wheel drive before so I'm used to smokin them at will. The 01 lightning had grip though.... I still miss that truck and almost went w another one over the jeep to do ease of modifications.... but I'm a daddy now and my son will enjoy the rear dvd player so I hope it meets my performance needs as well.

I like the Red Rock and I'm 92% sure I'll pick it over black when I go pick up the truck...but there is still a slight chance I'll turn to the dark side.

I was going on numbers from way early in the year, I had not checked the final production numbers in some time for 2006.

864 is still a low number and the Inferno Red is still the hottest color hands down! :D :cool:

No doubt inferno looks good man... that pick proves it. I have to go w Red Rock or black because of it being 07. I do like the Red Rock though.... a lot.

If I had the choice ide still go with the inferno red, this color just reached out to me and said HOT!!!!!! Either way just be happy with your choice, in the end your the one who must live with it.

I love my red rock... Ilooks dark and mean like I have a secret. Like when a BMW, mustang or Cayenne rolls up next to me and I smoke them whitout them even knowing what hit them.
