Has anyone purchased a Chrysler Extended warranty for their SRT Jeeps? I've seen the 5/60k for ~$1500 and was wanting to know what everyone else is paying?

I got the 5 year or 7 year extended. I don't remember exactly. They offer an interest free payment program, ends up being about 60 a month.

i got the 7yr/50000 (never have high mileage cars) maxicare for $ 1000 from the selling dealer. this was a marked reduction as i had previously purchased a 300 srt from the same dealer

I bought min through Harold Zeigler Automotive Group. A dealer in Illinois I think. I paid $825 for maximum care 6/70,000 with $100 deductible for my 2010 Jeep SRT8 (2010 comes with a 5/100000 powertrain warranty which makes extended warranties less expensive). My dealer wanted $2000. I also bought the wheel and tire protection for $165 for 4yrs.

I too got a pretty good quote from Zeigler; cant remember the exact price but i believe it was pretty fairly priced. I dont think it matters too much but i will certainly purchase before May and the factory expiration

If your planning on any serious mods like heads, cam supercharger things of that nature then theres no point in the extended warrenty.

Just a thought.

Zeigler quoted me $1300 for a 6/60k. Cheapest I've found to date. I will probably go with them. Thanks guys.

I'm definitely not going to modify past the simple bolt-ons I've got.

Im not clear on the difference between the maxie and the added care.

I read both of them and they are very close.

Does anyone know?

Does anyone have a promo code for the Zeigler website?

Why not? I got mine knowing I would be doing a blower install one of these days, knowing it would only void the warranty of that particular part or parts affected by the blower. Just cause you have a blower doesn't mean your warrant is voided. I got mine to cover all the electronic bs on our rigs like the navi, sunroof, etc.

Does anyone have a promo code for the Zeigler site? Also is the tire package worth it? Consider me a NON-gearhead and would appreciate any info/help.

believe it or not.... no deductable.... i had to read the agreement 2 or 3 times cause i couldnt believe it... then the guy hands me the pamphlet that shows whats covered... i laughed and just asked ... whats not covered... just normal maintence stuff.... the only thing and im not sure how it works with other warranties... is that its not transferrable if i sell the car unless it stays in the family........ i have no plans on ever selling this monster!!!

i think you are confusing 'new car warranty' vs. 'extended warranty'

2 different animals. IIRC, Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act is good for 'new' not 'extended' warranties. most extended will be very explicit that any high performace added parts will void your warranty.

here some good reading. im no lawyer so ,ake your own determination........

hmmm. I threw on a KenneBell blower on my '04 Cobra while it was under the new car warranty. It only voided the motor, exhaust, & tranny parts. The dealership even replaced a mach amp & 6 disc cd changer for me after the blower was installed, under the extended warranty, just had to pay the $100.00 deduct.
