Finally got my SRT8 home ( driving it 3 days now  )
I figured out alot considering I've had very limited time to drive and enjoy it so far. Auto link from the hands free Rear View Mirror to my cell is working fine, (that is so cool), Nav System working fine, all the other bells and whistle’s seem fine, BUT MY AUTO DIM REAR VIEW MIRROR DOESN'T WORK ???
SOB just blinks Green 24/7 and it's starting to get annoying. Off Button and Auto button do NOTHING when you press them ????
Anyone experience this or have any suggestions ???

Thanks
Rob

Black might look the fastest, but Inferno red is definitely the hottest, thus the name.

(its for Sale : o (

So no one else has the green light blinking on the rear view mirror ???
No trick to turning the stupid thing off ? there's hardly no info on it in the manual, all it basically says is "press auto for auto dim mirror and press off to shut it off". Those buttons do nothing on mine, the mirror isnt doing anything,
and all it does is blink green 24/7 when the trucks running. I dont even care about the auto dim mirror, ALL I WANT TO DO IS SHUT OFF THAT STUPID BLINKING LIGHT (@$%(@$%($^ hehehehehe.....

Don't have an SRT yet, but I do have the auto dim feature in my wife's TSX and never experienced the blinking green light. Should be solid green when on and not lit when off. I'd say you might want to take it to the dealer to have them check it out.

It need to be reprogramed by the dealer.

I have an issue with bringing any of the vehicles I've owned back to any dealer. In general if you have something fast and nice, you can count on someone beating the ever living (you know what) out of it and taking it out for joy rides (@$%(@$%@($%(@$%@$(@$

But unfortunately I do believe thats what I have to do, tommorrow I'll run up there and ask about it, maybe I can get them to look at it on the spot ???
I racked up over 300 miles so far and noticed that the auto dim is on at night (both the rear view and the DS outside mirror). So other than the fact I cant set it on or off, and have an annoying light flashing 24/7, it is working.

THANKS

If you dont want to take it to the dealer, you could always get some black electrical tape and cover the light. It would be a shame to do that on such a fine vehicle though, so if you do it, please don't tell us.

Well, you're just getting the auto dim feature fixed, no reason for them to take it for a test drive. Let them know you don't want them taking it of the lot, and that you have recorded the mileage to make sure it doesn't happen.

If they have a problem with this, take it somewhere else.

These trucks are suppose to be driven hard.I can't immagine a dealer driving it extreamly hard on the street would cause any problems.I beat the piss out of my Jeep on a daily basis and it just keeps comming back asking for more.:D

I went there last Saturday and they werent able to do anything on the spot, the Sales Girl called the Service Mgr and explained the prob and was SUPPOSE
to call me back during the week, "but didnt". I guess I have no choice but to set up an app and bring it in, no biggy as said they cant do much worse that I already do, hehehehe.

I do like the Black Tape idea though dozer :D

I have the same issue on my 2008 SRT8 here in mexico. I did take mine to two dealers. The first one in Puerto Vallarta said it needed to be programmed but they did not have the tools to do it. The second one in Guadalajara said it needed a new mirror at a cost of a thousand bucks!! That's one expensive mirror!

The only option for shutting it off is to unplug it at the back of the mirror. There is a little door to do it. I still have mine blinking and don't notice it anymore.

I'm still trying to figure out if my auto headlight dimming system is working, so unplugging the mirror would likely deactivate that as well. I just read I have to go over 20 or 30 kph for it be activated. I've been trying to figure it out in park! lol Time for another test drive.

I finally got my iphone 4 paired to the Uconnect system and it seems to be working great and the optional cable for connecting an ipod or iphone in the glove box works well. I can now charge my phone without any cables being seen inside the vehicle and have access to all my music files.
