Just did 300 miles and got 13.5. 4 full launches, multiple heavy throttle takeoffs.
Pretty happy with it. Just wish the Tank was about 10 gals larger! LOL!!!

12.4 driving it like I stole it mostly short trips and city driving with my mods below. I took a trip to Galveston and got 18.6 which is about an hour and a half driving around 70. Intake and Cmr tune bumped me up from about 10.5

Your temp gauge is some high:eek: mine dont move off 80...... I know mine is because of my CMR tune, my jeep might have ran that hot for maybe 2000kms but thats it.

Yes, that was with the Preditor 91 CAI tune & AFE CAI only. Also it was like HOT outside!! Runs much cooler with the 180 tstat.

Over the last 6500 miles mine shows 14.1 MPG with a mix of local and highway. All of the heavy footed data logging hasn't helped that number.

Took a drive down Ocean Parkway this morning -- hit 17.1 MPGs at 65 with cruise-control on. Took cruise off and I couldn't get more than 15.6MPGs. You think there's something in the ECM w/cruise on that gets better MPGs? I don't fluctuate the pedal THAT much to have an effect . . . maybe I do!

Pj,
I don't know on the Jeep, but on my Titan, just turning on the Cruise and not even setting a speed would change the shift points and not down shift as much.
Probably the same here.

was hanging around 10.4 (EVIC) in first coupla weeks - not much Highway in that -- today did roundtrip about 300 mi (mostly Highway) and after EVIC reset got about 13.3 -- noticed RPMs @ 80 MPH run just under 3000 -- (my Magnums run a little over 2000 RPM @ 80 MPH and get 19-21 on the Highway)

Someone said it -- a 6th gear would really help for 80-90 cruising.

Wondering -- do these loosen up a bit after a few thousand miles, and MPG increase a little?

Window Sticker rating is 12 City -- 16 Hwy:
right now, I'll never get there -- thats a GRANNY RATING

Seems like I see a big difference in hwy milage going 75mph vs 85mph... The higher cruising speed knocks off 3mpg for me.

Either a bigger tank or 6th gear would help.

Probably the same here.

I'm convinced there's something in the software to account for cruise control which affects MPGs in a positive way.

As an aside, I watched my MPG avg via the EVIC drop from 10.9 to 5.7 one day while waiting for my son at school. I idled for about 20 minutes! (it was COLD that day)

Is it just me? Ever since I took ownership of this Beast EVERY stoplight looks like a tree at the strip! Two tanks yesterday! One was the 280 mile round trip to the northern part of the state and back, the other half running errands and I still have half left for today!

All I want for X-mas is my new tall 6th gear, my new sixth gear!

Only have had the car for two weeks. 10.0 to 12.8 mix driving, but honestly when you go to buy or bought this beast your not really worried about the gas mileage.

Since the 426 install, all have been under 10mpg and the best so far was the 16.3 driving to Indiana at about a 55mph avg. At an 80mph I avg 14.3, not too horrible. :D

I picked my SRT up out of state, first 700 miles highway 70-75 17.2 mpg, now back and fourth to work, all city driving 13-13.7 mpg. This is exactly what I expected, my old GC had a 4.7 got 20mpg hwy and 16 city, and that was after 25,000 miles on the clock...but I have to say the new truck is so much nicer and more fun!!

While at Ocean City, I filled up about 5 minutes before the picture. It actually went down to 7.6 at one point but then went back up to like 12 something.
