say good bye to the srt8 chrysler... i would assume who ever buys it wont have the rights to keep making it? its so strange to think about it... lets say gm buys it... what motors will they use?? new srt8 w/ a ls2???

It could be good news... it could be bad news... depends on who buys Chrysler and what their plans are. In any event, it's going to take quite some time for a sale to go through, IF and when it does. If any vehicles/divisions are going to be cancelled, that will take yet more time as many supplier contracts are already in place. I really doubt that any 2008 or 2009 model vehicles will be cancelled outright. 2008 is wrapped up and 2009 models are pretty much finalized.

The news today is that DCX may decide within the next 2 weeks. Finalizing the deal (if there is one) would likely take 2-3 years. However, if the new owner is not interested in performance products, I can't imagine industry leading products being developed during the lame duck years of MB in transition to whomever.
