Tomorrow I am test driving a fully stock '06 with 43,000 miles, mature owner, Inferno Red with SRT Option 1. (friend owns dealership so I can get it for $22500)
I will already be checking:
(1) for steering wheel vibration at 70 mph,
(2) that it shifts good at WOT,
(3) what the tires look like (inside wall tearing?), and
(4) I have already confirmed that the transmision o-ring was replaced back in early 2007.
Any final suggestions/recommendations/things to look for?

Even if you get vibrations from the crappy stock tires, it's no big deal, it's just an upgrade waiting to happen (315/275)
If everything else is good get it, it's a good price, I hope to get an 07 for 25K, hopefully with 30,000miles or less, perhaps it will happen in 6 months or so.
I would ask if he ever did burnouts by holding the brakes, because that will mess up the transfer case, and do a few hard launches, just stomp it at WOT from a stop and see if the transfer case engages right away to provide AWD traction, and ask how often the transfer case fluid was changed.
Check the air filter to see if it's decent or nasty, that will give you an indication as to how well the owner kept the car maintained.

Sorry guys - work has been crazy this week......
YES, I bought it! As soon as I saw it in person I was like "Oh Sh!T, I have to buy this baby!" The test drive only re-enforced that BIG TIME. :)
I negotiated an oil change, differential fluid change, and transfer case fluid change. Heading to pick it up this morning. :D
Eibach springs and catch can already on the way. Also need to decide what BWoody intake I want and get that ordered soon.
The wheels are the only thing that need attention - some pitting, minor curb rash, and pitting. I plan to have them sandblasted and refinished. Are they just polished aluminum and then clear coated?
