Dale Adams Automotive and Davenport Motorsports in Calgary have both installed S/C on Jeeps.

Craig had his BB exhaust installed at davenport a few months ago, and they had a vortech on the shelf ready to go. They wanted around $8900 installed tho. Shop rate is $85/hr I think- They do good work but its pricey.

a local shop in red deer can beat the pricing of the vortech kit, called davan port as well but the pricing is rediculous

and if your jeep is an 09+ vortech hasnt made a vortech base tune for it yet

For sure the unit was was a polished one though, It included a dyno tune as well. But yes a little pricy??

Sure - $6700 + install is gonna be very close to 8900. Although I talked to Davenport and it's actually $9500+gst and that includes a dialled in CMR (NOT dyno) tune.

Newfie - any ideas where to get the kit installed for a better price?

I do have a gearhead buddy - I had just heard that the S/C install is quite tricky... No worries with electrical or anything?

The only electrical would be the predator everything else is bolt on, just take your time, if your buddy is a gear head then it should not be much trouble.

I looked at the install manual on the Vortech page - looks scary to me, and looks like a multi-day project. I'm personally leaning towards paying for an install but I'll look at the manual with my buddy when we do the Borla on Friday and get his opinion as to whether or not it's within his skills.

Um. Also. Are we looking at 3-4 blown Jeep's running at Castrol this year??

This should be good!

Newfiebullet
01-05-2010, 01:37 PM
There should be 3 or 4 supercharged jeeps there, 1 maggy on juice that runs 11.8 a snot colored charger, 3 dodge cummins that should be right around 12-13 flat in the 1/4, and a few other friends that are planning on comming down aswell.

Now if i can get Kokanee13 to spend a little bit of money on his jeep and stop being a cheap A$$, it would be good......................................

Hope you get in the 10s.

LAFNGAS

yeah, id love to run 10's but hooking up is gonna be a little difficult to say the least, fuel pump died on the dyno so i gotta get that fixed and then upgrade to a -8an fuel feed line and get retuned, as it sits it is making 518whp though
