Hey guys!
My wife and I were planning a trip to the snow in her Infiniti FX this week, but when I went under the car to change the oil I find red ATF all over! I guess she blew a seal someplace, and since it's under warranty I'll take it to the dealer. So that means we're taking the Jeep to the snow instead (I'm dreading the front skirt becoming a snow plow. Before we do though there's some service items I've been putting off. So I'm dedicating all of tomorrow to do the following:
Engine oil and filter
Front and rear diff fluid
Clean out that damn vent tube that keeps burping gear oil
WAS going to do the transfer case, but I only have 17k miles and that fluid is expensive! It can wait until 20k miles
R1 roters and Hawk pads front and rear
Flush the brake fluid
If there is anybody in the area that needs similar service (and by chance you have the parts) I'm willing to do the service for some pizza and/or burgers! If you want to just watch and help I'm okay with that too! I'd like to contribute to the forum, so I might document the brake job, even though it's pretty well laid out on wkjeeps.com.
