Anyone know of a way to turn off / disable the annoying seatbelt chime that doesn’t stop in the 2010 Jeep’s? (other than plugging in your belt)

My ChargerSRT8 did this too but only for the first 60 seconds and then it would just give up the beeping.

Much appreciated! I will give it a go in about an hour when I’m leaving the office! Look forward to a non-annoying hour-ish drive home!

if that doesn't work ( which i think it will ) it should be in the manual.

I did this years ago i have an 07 it works but the seat belt warning on the dash will stay illuminated until you buckle up. To tell you the truth i don't even pay attention to the light and that annoying noise is gone!

Not try to sound like a Prick........But why wouldn't you want to wear your seatbelt?

If you hit something, your azz is going thru the windsheild

Wouldn't you much rather get held in your seat and hit the airbags?????

I agree 100% as much of a pain they are to wear, hopefully it will never come down to it for anyone but seatbelts save lives

The reason for me is simple...watching movies while the car is running outside...waiting for a person, what not...and having to wear a seatbelt to while sitting still and having the car running...super hot and super cold days can warrant this.

We also have a huge yard at work that we drive around with customers and what not, and we're always hoping in and hoping out to check stuff. I'm not going fast, so no seatbelt need.
Thank god we can dismantle ours.

I am down at the port of Houston a lot. Driving 100 feet from here to over there. Getting
in the truck to drive across the pasture from my parents house to my grandparents house.

There are LOTS of times I use a vehicle that a seatbelt is beyond ridiculous. Thanks for
your concern, but I will choose when to use my seatbelt and when it is not necessary.

Oh man, putting her away at night. I have to back up my driveway and then get it in the
little space in the garage. It's tight and it takes a little time... seatbelt not required. The
ding ding ding is insane.

IS there any way to "undo" this action. Basically Is there a way to turn it back on if need be?

Good point! May require a visit to your Service Dept.

Try the same procedure again to turn it back on, but why in God's name would you want to turn it back on?
The red seatbelt light remains lit in the dash, but the annoying seatbelt chime never comes on.
I hope the new Jeep doesn't lose this disable function. It's imperative for me, as I need to drive around our facility alot and there is absolutely no need for a seatbelt at speeds of 15 - 20 mph on private ways.

Worked perfect....all I hear now is the grumble of the exhaust when I start it up!

Thanks!
