I just had some minor fixes on the Jeep with my first oil change, one of the fixes were a new rear / passenger shock which was making rattling noises. Anyways, brought the truck home, and looking at it from the back, I noticed it was leaning towards one side. I thought it was just me, so I made sure it was on level ground and measured the thing, sure enough, it was about 3/8" lower on the driver side than the passenger side. A new shock wouldn't have anything to do with this, would it? I'll be taking it back, again (either way I have to get my buzzing passenger door fixed) and will point out the leaning problem. Anyone else experience this?

FYI: This is the list I gave them at the Dealership, just in case anyone else has these problems
Rattles from rear - Fixed with passenger rear shock.
Buzzing noise from passenger side door with music on - Replaced pass speaker, noise still there
Vibration at 62 - 80+ MPH - Balanced wheels which did not fix it. They finally found out it was an out of round tire from Goodyear, fixed
Brake dust, squeal from brakes, waiting for TSB.

I also replaced the stock ground effects with running boards. The only bad part is they only come in black and couldn't get them painted. They still look good, and actually like the look better. If anyone's interested, I can post some pics when I get home towards the end of the week.

I would definately not do just one shock. I really believe that it will eventually settle into place, but the dealer ought to know better with a 50k-vehicle......:eek: They will probably have to replace the other one now to get two "fresh" shocks that are in the same "break-in" period/mileage.

i agree , it should settle and level out considering they are the exact same shock, however you could get them to replace the other one too because of the unevenness
