thats my truck in the link, keep in mind that I did not cut the stock springs just for the look, I cut a set of Progressively wound Eibach Pro-line springs....they have a tighter coil wound stack in the center of the spring and a higher spring rate.....for the record the ride is more compliant than stock and has less body lean....have 3k km's on the truck since the mod and never regret it.

Cut springs....with less travel....and it's MORE compliant? How is this possible?

I looked at the perches and if you cut one rung off of the factor springs they will not go back on. I am not sure about the springs used in jerthehair's thread it they are much tighter wound then maybe you can get away with it. (still not recommended.)

The problem is we don't know the stock shock travel. I am still interested in the air bag solution.

Wow, have not heard the term "cut springs" since high school. Make sure and measure the coils correctly or else you will have one side lower then the other. I did this on my Mustang back in high school. I actually had someone with expierience cut them, and I installed them back in.

Its true the factory springs,If cut will not go back on the perch.I had the speed shop lowering it and they brought that to my attention,As Jerthehair suggested I had it done with the Eibach springs,I'm try to get it a little lower if possible,They are working on it as we speak

I cut my Eibachs one coil. If you grind the edge back flat on the bottom after you cut it, you wont have a problem. I have been driving on mine for a year and it works great.
