Went to the dealership to get a quote for a 30k service. After days of trying to get a hold of them, they give me a generic paper for ALL Jeep/Chrysler/Dodge vehicles they sell. The list includes things that ARE NOT part of the maintenance schedule and when I call a regular non-dealer shop they list the things their computer says and it is like a $400 service.

The paper from dealer says they change plugs (which is not recommended until 60k I think) they say they "clean fuel system" and replace plug wires and cap (which I do not have...)

These guys are impossible to get a hold of on the phone, so I am just wondering what others have paid for the 30k service and do u knwo what they actually do?

They don't call it the stealership for nothing!

Got two choices really, pay what they are asking or learn to do it yourself. If your time is worth anything to you, paying the stealership will be the most "cost" effective. If you have time on your hand or simply haven't got the cash, doing it yourself will not only save some $$$ but it is also good for the soul. ;)
