I know everyone is using the '06 CTS-V pads for the rear brakes, just thought I'd let everyone know I'm going with the Hawk LTS (Light Truck & SUV) pads on the front, for use with my new R1 rotors. ;)

The Hawk LTS pads seem to be one of the best options, not ceramic so they aren't hard on the rotors (or take a while to warm up), but good stopping power and low dust from being Ferro-Carbon.

Part number is HB563Y.656, for the fronts, in case anyone is interested. I'll post up some reviews once I've tried them out. I got them from here:

Stick with stock pads in the front. IMO the stock pads stop the best. I have Hawk Ceramic pads on the front and they don't bite like the stock Brembo pads.

No review, since I didn't end up getting the Hawk pads (on backorder for 2 weeks, couldn't wait). :p

I ended up with PosiQuiets all around, which have actually been very good. Absolutely no squeaks (I'd even forgotten all about the squeak problem for a while) and good stopping power with very low dust. Not quite as grippy as stock, but still better than your average vehicle brakes.

I'd recommend the PosiQuiets on all 4 wheels, working well for me so far.

Stock pads are the only way to go. I tried other pads and they sucked. If you want bite them go stock.

oh yes you can get them a lot cheaper. Search on here for the part number then google it. I ordered mine from some jeep.com for like $200 something.
