Actually, I HAVE done this before and to my disappointment, I did not improve my times. In fact, I was slower by 0.11 seconds in the quarter compared to the time in my signature. Theoretically, I should have dropped about 0.15 seconds in the quarter with the weight savings so maybe I just had an off day at the track, I dunno. I have since put everything back and will not do that again. The rear seat backs are truly a pain in the ass to remove and not worth it. Here's the breakdown:

Front passenger seat: 58 lbs
Rear seat back: 68 lbs
Rear bench seat: 29 lbs
Cargo floor: 22 lbs
Cargo cover: 5 lbs

TOTAL: 182 lbs

Haha, I saw this on there. Even have the video of them driving it.

I'd wonder if you removed almost everything how much time it would take off.

Dude that is hardcore. I think its enough of a pain just to take my sub/amp out. I remember Keoni did this at Zmax and it looked so weird to see a jeep stripped out. Personally I think its more impressive to run a quick time with a 5000+lb jeep.

Do you realize how hard it is to drop .15 once you've entered low 12's? You start to run out of small mods to do......... Its either shell out $$$$ for FI to break into the 11's, Or spend a few hours gutting the interior.

I just recently gutted mine from the rear seat back. Had to leave the passenger front in.

However I think it is faster. No stats to prove, just feeling the way she drives.
