It does have a tighter fabric versus the K&N gauze-you can't see any holes in it when holding it up to a light source. And quality seems really good.
The big surprise was that the oem paper filter had it's specs stamped on it:
Dust cap. 0.130 grams
Max air flow 8.85 cubic meter/min
Efficiency 98%
Pressure loss at max air flow 0.035 bar
But this can't be right: Using a guess of 85% efficiency on our engines, our max air flow at 6200 rpm is 564 cfm, which converts to 15.97 cubic meter/min??? Almost double of the paper air filter flow rate?
