: 2 new PB's today!
Blown-WK 11-21-2009, 06:37 PM Well as harryballz said we went down for our first daytime test/tune today. Overall it was a great day and I had a new personal best on motor and on the bottle. Ended up running 12.58@109.26 on motor and 11.68@117 on spray. It was running great on motor but as soon as I sprayed it, the tranny was slipping REALLY bad between gears like a 2 second delay while it slid into the next gear. I'm probably gonna have to run the nitrous off a push button switch so I can let off quickly between shifts. It's got a lot more in it if I can just get it to shift right.
Btw, I'm sure Jim will want to know but the NA run was at 1:56pm
lchevere 11-21-2009, 06:40 PM Congrats Chris. Nice times. How much of an improvement since your last tune?

My previous PB was a 12.62 at bills event in zmax. Been sticking around the 12.65 barrier in Gainesville until today.
Blown-WK 11-21-2009, 06:49 PM Btw, that NA run had my highest trap speed ever at 109.26. I was moving out past the 1000' mark.

Oh ok. Good stuff. Did you do different run's with cutout's open and closed?
Blown-WK 11-21-2009, 07:07 PM Yeah ran twice with them closed. High 12.6s

On the dyno I gained 4 hp and 8 tq at the wheels. I always ran a consistent tenth or two better with cutouts open.

Harrison@Stage6 11-21-2009, 08:17 PM That was a fun day homey. Don't know if I'll be able to make the next Sat. though. It's Fla/Fla. State Sat. Hmmm...... the game starts at 3:30. Wonder if we can get some tix then just go to the game afterwards!!:rocker: That would be sweet.:D Didn't they say there was a T&T on Dec. 5th?
Chris Hull@TTC 11-21-2009, 08:28 PM Nice runs Chris!! Maybe you should get Bills valvebody, the increased line pressure should help when you spray!!
Vinnysrt8 11-21-2009, 08:29 PM Great time chris
pjs1965 11-21-2009, 08:47 PM Nice job Chris.

I talked with Bill about this before and went with some blue top solenoids for now since I got them for basically nothing (perks of working for a Benz dealer). I'm pretty sure the WOT is the same between the blue tops and bills VB. I think the only way I'm gonna get the tranny to shift rock solid is going with a whole tranny from the man himself...Bill.
Matt McKenzie 11-22-2009, 12:24 AM Great runs Chris, congrats! Hmmm, so cutouts actually help that much, huh?!?!

Yeah, he gained like 17rwhp when he opened them up on the dyno. We were all shocked when we saw the results. Johan said that was the first time he's seen them really be effective.
af_maineiac 11-22-2009, 09:19 AM Congrats on the PB, Chris! Damn it seems that just about EVERYONE is setting records this fall! Also interesting to note that the cutouts helped you out a little.....

Yeah the shifts are killing my times though. I should have taken a video from inside.
SRT-MANA 11-22-2009, 12:04 PM Awesome times.....do the hand held push button.I did it because I didnt wanna spend more money for the window switch, but glad I did it. its fun to mess with people too:)
Matt McKenzie 11-22-2009, 10:48 PM Cut-outs are not too expensive either....I might have to look into them for sure!!!
