Its time for another oil change for me. I have just under 6k miles on the jeep. the first time I changed it I used Mobil1 OW-40 with a Mobil1 filter. I would prefer to stay with Mobil1. I have found out by seaching that Chrysler is switching to 5w-40. I can still get the 0w-40 but i was wondering living in Texas if that is what I should continue with since temps never get close to -0Also at Idle i get a squeeky sound under the hood. Possibly the piston oilers buzzing or maybe im paranoid and its just the belts? I wonder if a higher oil viscosity would help. As for the oil filter should I stick with the Mobil1 or go with the K&N(part number?)

I always used 0w-40 from Mobile1 when I had mine. Zero issues and I'm from the land of all kinds of temp extremes.......

Chyrsler is now using 5w40 so you could use either.

I just used M1 5-40 and KN filter part #2010 last week. O'reillys has it in 4 qt. jugs and you save a buck as opposed to buying by the qt. at $6.99 ea. I use 15-50 during the summer.
