Hey guys well I decided to bit the bullet and install the Toyo proxe ST II 275/315 combo in hopes of getting rid of that famous Vibration problem that the stealership has not heard of. So even this these new tires the problem is still there but the not run flats seem to help a lil bit, which is just a Band Aid fix to this problem. Overall I would say they ride alot better than the stock Good years! Well here are a few pics of the Tires on the Beast! Enjoy!!

Looking good Jose.....glad you finally went away from the stock goodyears. I love the 275/315 combo. I get compliments all the time on just the tires alone.

Thanks Dave! Yeah they do look nice and ride alot smoother then the Crap Years. I was debating on doing the 265/295 combo instead but I am glad I went this route instead. The only thing that bothers me is that I just sent about close to a Grand and that damn Vibration will not go away. So I still have a few more tricks up my sleeve to see if I can get that Vibration fixed.

I'v had my toyo stII's for 6k miles and cant get them to balance properly, balanced them 6 times. So you might have not picked the best tire to get a rid of the viration issue;). Its the most annoying thing ever to have the beast vibrating all the damn time isnt it!!! I'm calling toyo tomoro to see if I can get replacments.

I don't think its the tire man. Because I know of people switching to another brand like Vreds and Nittos and their jeep is still doing the same thing with the vibration issue. I find it very hard to believe that everyone has bad tires. I have replaced many parts on my brand new Jeep already and the only thing I haven't done yet is swap with someone one that doesn't have the vibration is at 70 MPH. So I am hoping to do that with a member on here that lives close to me and he is still using the stock run flats too. He claims he doesn't have any issues. So I want to see if my problem moves to his jeep. Will keep you posted.

Previously I havnt had a problem with vibration so for me I think it is the tires. Well i take that back, for about 6k miles a limped along with the goodyear crapflats that were out of balance from the tread separtion, could that wreck anything? What all have you replaced? Just recently (1k ago) got rear end completly rebuilt again, new t-case again and rear driveshaft. What else should I push for to be replaced. It is ungodly annoying!! Just because of that I dont even like to drive the damn thing, i rather drive my 160hp subaru outback lol

Hey Jose, they look really nice,I should have mine on today but we'll see.I didn't have any vibration with the stock tires even though they were only on for under 5k miles. As soon as the 22's were put on I noticed a 70mph vibration, but it's not bad at all really.I'm gonna have my new ones road force balanced, did you and do you think that is better than normal balancing? Will definitely put pics up when installed and give a verdict!

If not, I would recommend finding a good* shop to align it. Especially since you notice the vibes more now with the drop.

To tell you the truth when I got new Good year tires on the front they intially did normal balancing. Then what I did is take it back to another Just tires and they checked both the fronts with the GPS 9700 machine, which does road force balancing and I found out that the tires were still balced correctly. I personally fell that the road force balancing is just a bunch of Advertising. When I installed thes tires last week and went ahead and did the roadforce balancing just for peace of mind but it did not make a difference.

Thanks bro! Yeah they put a 1" scuff on the edge of my front left wheel when I told them specifically be be real care full with my freshly powder coated wheel. So I was fuming when I seen that and they decided to bash the company who powder coated them for me. So in the end he said that they would not pay for the damages.

Haven't had it aligned yet Dan since I still have to install my Addco Sway bars and Bwoody Links hopefully this weekend. Once I have all that I will take it to a good Aligmnet shop. Any places you recommend?

Yeah will do that when I install the rest of my Suspension parts man. I doubt that will get rid of the Vibration though.

Bars and links won't effect alignment.

I had mine aligned when brand new and also aligned again after the springs.
The lowering springs effect the alignment.....which since you said it got worse after the springs makes me think that it could have something to do with your alignment.

I've got 13K on my 265/295 STII's and just got them balenced today. They were riding fine but at higher speeds.... 85+ I was starting to get a touch of vibration so I tested out my lifetime balencing. They said they were pretty far out. Hmmm..... the drive home was nice and smooth though. For them being "far out" they still rode pretty damn good. I think I only noticed it b/c I drive it all the time. I don't think anyone else could tell. Go figure.

The Toyo don't com in the stock size. I bought the 275/315 combo and just checked them today and they do not rub on the sway bar links at all. I looked at the gap and its about almost 1" between the tire and the sway bar link. The only place that I did see very little rubbing is in the Passenger side rear wheel well cover. So overall I ham happy with these tires!

275/40R20 for the fronts

I think most of the vibrations are caused by the way the transfer case works, i have to mhp tcm and when i dont turn the traction controll off it will launch like its off even if it spins almost no noise, when i turn the traction controll off it makes all kinds of noises. Id like to make my truck 2wd just to get rid of this peice of sh1t transfer case ! but i have a vibration under part throttle acceleration at all speeds ? not sure what is causing that, probally still the transfer case.

Yeah these Jeeps tend to make a whining noise when ever you turn the traction control off because even though its off the Transfer case is still moving and thats what you hear bro.

Yeah I have followed your posts on hear Wade and know you have gone thru a few sets of tires already. I have ridden in a 09 Jeep with 9000 miles on it and that jeep has the Vreds installed and has the same vibration/ shimmy issue that I have. Also one other member that I know as well has the Vreds and he claims he has the shimmy as well. I as well have had my rear drive shaft replaced twice already and it has not made a difference. So for me its ether the wheels or the tires and wheels are not balanced properly I would think. No that you mention it that member that I was talking about just removed his tires and wheels for the winter so I will ask if we can swap the 2 fronts to see what happens. Thanks bro!

Secondly, have you driven it much in the snow/icy conditions yet with the Toyo's, and how does it compare to the GY's? I live in Michigan and love the way those tires look. Thanks,

Thanks bro for the comments! To tell you the truth I really don't drive my Jeep in the snow or ice but have driven it a few times already and it seems to be fine in the snow and ice. I store it in the winter but on occasions I will bring it out. Also I never drove the Jeep in the snow or ice with the stock tires so I really can't compare. The Toyos are nice and I think are probably one of the best tires out here that out an all season non run flat tire. Look around and I am sure you will find some posts of ther Toyos in the snow.
