So I got home tonight to a couple messages on the answering machine, one being from the dealer I bought the Jeep from. The salesman asked if I was looking into maybe trading up to an 08 they have on the lot with 8,000 miles, because a customer in the area is looking into buying an older Jeep SRT8, like an 06 or 07. Someone must really have their heart set on getting what they want! Just wondering if anyone else has gotten a call like this?

He's just feeding you a line. Instead of making one sale, he's looking to make two. Can't blame him for trying. That's a pretty aggressive move, he's probably one helluva car salesman.

^^ +1 ... That sounds like a good salesman, and if you didn't have as much done to yours, i'd consider that trade ;)

Did he give you any prices?

I think an 08 would be a downgrade from an 07...LOL.

Like said above, he is probably just a good salesman to draw up some business.

See, you trade your Jeep in for $28k and pay $35k for the 2008 and then he can sell your Jeep for $31k. Win, win for him.

Unless you have a lot of miles I would not pay several thousand dollars to upgrade to a used vehicle that is very very similar. If it was only a couple of grand I would do it, but if it was $5k-$7k I would wait until the 2012 SRT8 for that and the 6.4L.:D

I've put a descent amount of money into the Jeep so far so I'm not giving this beast up yet. I'm just getting started!!!:D

happened to me and it worked because I was already thinking of trading in so the call came in and I thought great timing on there part. :)
