Could be a start to the Goverment wanting to monitor everyting we do!! Goodby fee world!?? Makes you wonder.. But I do like the instant call if the airbags deploy! but thats all......Just my opinion of course..

i think it's a move in the right direction.
this should be a first step towards a system where it's possible to reconstruct auto accidents with a high level of certainty. combined with other data such as gps readings and video, this will lead to a world where better driving is rewarded.
if you've ever been in an auto accident which was not your fault, yet you were faulted by the police due to the lies of the other party involved, you'll know where i'm coming from.

Its the ODB III system that scares the crap out of me...taken from wilkipedia

Basically your car will constantly be transmitting information wirelessly. Speed, pollution production, eeeevvverrryyyttthhhing.
