: DiscItalia Rotors on!!
Mango 03-26-2007, 04:56 PM Finally!!! Dad came to the rescue.
I am now much wiser, and can work on my OWN truck next time I need to do something like this. :D
Here are some shots.
Oh btw, we discovered that these Disc Italia Rotors are in fact FACTORY rotors, that are bead blasted, CNC machined with holes/slots, then zinc coated. They have the exact same part numbers/stampings/etc. as our factory STOCK rotors. LOL! They even have the chrysler star on them. Aww well, they sure do look incredible.

I'm surprised they did not have a core charge on them then. LOL.

I emailed Dave about this. He stated that I would not have to do this, as the material the Posi Quiets are made out of would remold itself to the rotors, and vice versa. Believe it or not, I could only *slightly* feel the grooves in the front rotors by running my fingernail across the surface. The rears were SMOOTH! Changing those pads early when I did pretty much saved them.
notsag 03-26-2007, 06:40 PM They look real fine. If I may how much they cost? front/rear
Any issues with installing them?
Do you feel they offer the same performance, better, slightly less? How did you come to this conclusion? Seat of the pants, hard data, etc.
Congrats and thanks!
saywhat 03-26-2007, 06:43 PM I put them on about 2 weeks ago and love them!!!:D
jlandbl 03-26-2007, 06:50 PM Those look incredible. Good luck.

They look awesome man!!!
Mango 03-26-2007, 07:35 PM Thanks guys!!!!
I just got back from doing the bed-in procedure, as advised to do by Dave Zeckhausen. Man, that never gets old!
Rotors have a nice greyish tint to them, and the pads smell really smokey! lol
Drove it at highway speed and everything in between for about 20 minutes to let them cool down.
Performance seems to be the same as stock was, and I really can't comment at this point. It's not worse, so that's good.
Only time will tell. But I am VERY happy with them so far. Worth every penny for the appearance upgrade alone.
