:) Ok, I have been so kindly given a sneak peak at the 2008 styling changes to the WK. Unfortunately I can't post the pictures until 4-1-07, but I promise on that date I will post all of the ones that I was given access to.

I haven't followed the 2008s very closely, so I wasn't sure of the changes, but they are noticeable, though subtle. The front gets lower mounted fogs, and a more aggressive front facia than the current WK.

I have not seen any SRT changes yet, but if the WK changes are relative, I'vd say we may get some appealing changes to the 2008 SRTs.

How could our fogs get any lower?!

Standard WK... not the SRT. Lots of VERY nice interior enhancements too. Most of which have previously been mentioned by Milous.

I was thinking that if they lowered the standard WK, then ours might get lowered as well. Sort of jumping the gun.

I'm sure one of the autoblogs will break the embargo; they've certainly done it before. However as the changes [will] 'appear mild' [to the automotive press] I'll bet most of the attention will be on the Liberty at NYIAS.

For 2008, Jeep designers wanted to come up with a refreshed fascia design that still projected a little bit of German influence. But instead of going in the direction of Mercedes, they wanted something a bit on the softer side and decided to take some styling cues from another famous German company, Porsche. I guess as the old saying goes, if you CAN beat 'em, join 'em!

Looks like a GM product. I think it's the headlights, they look Envoyish to me. I would still buy one though...

Like any new design, it will take some getting used to. I'll have to see the other colors before I make up my mind as to whether I like it or not. Plenty of airflow, that's for sure.

FYI,

Milous has already shown a spy pic of the 2008 front end. I believe it was the diesel version. I saw it on JU, but if he posts here, he may link it.

LOL. That looks like the bastard love child between the Cayenne and B9 Tribeca. Good job.

finally some xenon projector headlights! unfortunately if that is the production version, it looks like those lights won't be an easy swap for the 05-07 as you would have to at least change the bumper cover as well.

now if only the 08 looked like this...

I really do like the headlights... I wonder if they would swap nice without changing the bumper cover by making some kind of custom headlight covers that go around the headlight like on that one DUB SRT8. I bet it's doable. The sad thing is everyone with 05-07 JGC's is going to be fighting over these 08 headlights, I would'nt be surprised if they went for $2,000.00 for a complete set when the 08's first come out. How do we go about getting these besides from ebay? Junkyards probably wont have them for a while because hopefully not a lot of people are crashing the 08's. Will the dealer be able to order them right after the 08's are availible? Hook us up Champion Jeep! lol... My last concern is I wonder if all the wiring harnesses will fit and if the headlight will function just as it does on the 08's (i.e. auto leveling, etc.) Also, does anybody know what brand the OEM projectors, bulbs and ballasts are? or what the cutoff looks like? I would imagine they are exactly the same as the Chrysler 300's HID setup, but I dont even know what brand they are or what their cutoff looks like. If anybody could shed some light on this topic that would be awesome!!!

What the heck are the three lines coming off the center? Wish it looked a bit cleaner without the lines....
