: Group buy on the SRT8 Billet knob.
2007GCSRT8 03-26-2007, 07:58 AM I am going to buy this knob one way or the other. It seems like some guys are on the edge and I thought saving $25 might help your decision. Chris is the name of the guy selling them on ebay, he emailed me directly. On ebay he is asking $125 for the knob. He will give us a group rate of $100, which includes the shipping, if 10 of us buy them. Are there 9 more of you guys that will get them for the discounted rate?
I'm not making anything off of this, I'm just trying to help out you guys on the forum.
Here is his ebay listing if you want the info, don't buy from ebay. I just posted the site so you know what you are getting.

Here are a couple of pics I stole from Alex T's posting.

ineedspots 03-26-2007, 09:05 AM I'll do it.
Yeah... I'll do it.
Slightly off topic, but want to say a couple of things.
Wasn't it (I think Ben Stiller) in Starsky and Hutch who said DOO IT, DOO IT, DOOO IT?
Also, had mine for several months now and paid full pop retail for it. Worth it and no regrets. What I am getting at is let's not hear any *****ing from those who have already purchased it at $125. Just chalk it up to the fact that none of us were smart enough to think af a "group buy".
Chris was great to deal with, shipped in bubble wrap for protection, and the turn around time was like three days from order to receipt. Excellent buying experience, and quality product. Also is an extremely easy 3 minute install.
So if you are on the fence, jump on this. A little better than 20% discount. Can't beat that. You'll love it.
sanscritt 03-26-2007, 09:12 AM Count me in too, please.

2007GCSRT8 03-26-2007, 09:21 AM I have sent Chris an email asking him to join the site. I have also asked him to create a post with specific directions for us, ie. how to pay him and how to get him our info.
Please continue to post up if you are interested, he needs to know that there is demand. And I need to know if there are 10 of you interested.
4 more to go to get to 10.
Rob

2007GCSRT8 03-26-2007, 11:25 AM OK OK, you guys sound antsy to have more details. Chris just wrote me back and here is what he said:
"I will join later tonight when I have more time and use DEERRAM as my user name. I would rather you continue with the post as the administrators of these sites don't like people who are not paid supporting vendor. I am a supporting vender on some of the other sites, but was not aware of this one. They won't way anything if another member like yourself tries to get a group buy together. Thanks Chris"
I would either look for him to post up info on this thread, or to start a new one of his own TONIGHT.
I hope everyone is kind to him, and please remember that I asked him to join the site to make things easy for everyone. He is not one of those guys that is trying to sell somthing on his first post.
Thanks,
Rob

esq76 03-26-2007, 03:18 PM if its any concillation, i have dealt with Chris in the past and purchased the shift knob. In fact I requested that my knob be left unpainted. He is a great vendor, got my knob just the way i like it....clean and shiney...very fast transaction considering he had to manufacture my knob. i wish you all luck with your knobs and hope that you all enjoy the look and feel of your knobs once you screw them on!!!!

Hello everyone, I want to thank everyone for the interest in the group buy on the SRT 8 custom billet Aluminum shift knobs that 2007GCSRT8 is inquiring about. There appears to be plenty of interest. These are a solid aluminum custom knob I produce that is a direct fit for the SRT 8 Cherokee. The factory knob is removed and this on slides on in it's place and has one small set screw to secure it in place at the base of the knob facing the dash so it will not be seen. They are polished to a mirror finish and the letters are painted Black(SRT) and red(8) to resemble the factory emblems. The normal price is $125.00, but for the group buy of at least 10 the price will be $100.00 shipped to anywhere in the US. If you are in Canada I will have to add $5.00 for the extra postage. I ship USPS Priority Mail for fast delivery. I am getting another batch machined right now and expect to have some back tomorrow to polish and paint. I expect to have some ready to ship out either Wednesday (3-28)or Thursday (3-29) this week. Anyone interested in the group buy and would like to purchase one Please send me an email to: tetzlaff@glasgow-ky.com. Please include your email address, name, address, phone number and vehicle model so I do not get these confused with other inquiries as I make these for the Magnum, Charger, and 300. Also please mention the group buy so I know to give you the discounted price. Payment can be made through paypal and I will send you an invoice once I receive your email so you can make payment. You can also pay with a money order, just mention you would like to pay by that method and I will send you my address.
I want to especially thank those of you who have made the great comments and recommendation on my custom knobs, I really appreciate it.
I know some have inquired about other possible products, but right now I only make the custom shift knobs.
I will try to contact everybody as soon as possible, but please understand I work a full time job (currently nights) and sleep during the day, so it may be several hours, but I make it a point to respond ASAP.
I ALSO HAVE ONE AND ONLY ONE 24K GOLD PLATED SRT 8 KNOB FOR THE CHEROKEE AND THE PRICE IS $200.00 SHIPPED. LETTERS CANNOT BE PAINTED ON THIS KNOB.
Thanks everybody. Chris Tetzlaff

FeelTheSteel 03-27-2007, 08:41 PM I'm in if there are any left. Thanks for the update!
Eh2BRUTEh 03-28-2007, 10:27 AM Order sent. Waiting for reply.
deerram 03-28-2007, 10:39 AM Yes I still have some available. I want to thank everyone again for those of you who have purchased and kept me very busy the past 24 hours. I received a batch from the machine shop late yesterday afternoon and spent 14 hours last night getting some polished to ship out this morning. So far I have been able to keep up (barely) and have shipped today to everyone who has paid (13 total) and waiting on payment from several more. I will do my best to make sure these get shipped by the next morning after receiving payment, but could possibly be delayed one day if I get behind. It takes me one hour to smooth, buff, and paint one shift knob so I hope you understand this is not a quick process. Thanks Chris
I have been getting a lot of email so the people that request to purchase a shift knob, I have just been sending them a Paypal invoice to make the purchase with a quick note. If you do not receive and invoice or a response, please email again as you email may have been filtered out by my spam blocker.
