I'm guessing that its a tbss - what blower are you using ? and what other mods ? that thing hauls some ass - any problems with that detonating trans yet ?

Just messing due to typo, that's pretty good. I looked at one of those before I got the jeep. Didn't like all the problems and really liked the looks of the Jeep better.

tranny is ok for now i have billet servos in it but im pullling it out and doing a built one with a 2600 stall. i have 275 40 17 drag rads and i cant really romp on it off the line with the stock 255 50 20s i have to romp on it then let off and hit again.

with the drag rads and 2600 stall thing should pull so much better off the line.

thanks for the compliment guys. im going to try the 2.8 pulley on race gas next should get about 6.5 psi im only gettin 5.5 psi max now. The magnacharger is a great product i love it very much.

mines a 06 model 2600 miles and i street race pretty much every weekend no probs at all just want more speed. No probs here just 2wd has no traction

I dont race at the track just street race mostly. i know its bad just i get better runs like that. off a roll i get killed because i cant power brake at all to get a better launch. but off a roll is where i have fun 20mph rolls are the best and im right along 11.50 to 11.80 cars the entire way. I need to put on my drag rads then ill be able to launch better.

currently im working on meth injection so i can run a 2.6 pulley on pump gas and keep timing up that alone going from 2.9 to 2.6 with meth injection and tune will give 80 hp at wheels.

ive raced 3 srt8s jeeps same outcome. Freakin launch so hard on me isnt even funny then by 2nd im passing them up. Rolling starts i pull right away but if i could hoook and take off like a jeep srt8 man id be set but it wont happen without my drag rads.

I dont see why he can't post here, I'm all about hearing what type of advancements they make in their aftermarket.

why are you going for more power if you can't hook up as it is

with 275 40 17 drag rads i hook up hard, i bet 1.5 to 1.6 60 foots but on stock tranny thats a no go. ill put the drag rads on when i get the tranny redone because the 3 times i launched with drag rads on the street i was waiting for the tranny to blow.

the mickey thompson 275 40 17 hook real good on teh street much better than the bfg radial ta i was using also with a 4.5 inch shorter tire the 0-100 sprints are much faster less to rotate. going from a 30.2 to a 25.7 inch tall tire

i heard the tranny was the weak spot on the tb. how much of a problem is it in reality? are a lot of people affected?

Aint this the truth! When we ever get a tune and unlock the ECU I will twin turbo mine until then, I sit and wait.

I see TBSS's every day in Queens, never see any other SRT8's and thats the way I like it!

maybe i just haven't noticed.. styling isn't as distinctive. they do have the SS badges rear/side I just saw in a photo..will keep an eye out.

Call Tune Time they specialize in TBSS and the owner has a custom fab turbo set up that pulled 11.80's on street tires AWD and he's a monster with the trannys too...I think he has a fully built one right now he's trying to get rid of for like $2600 and it can easily hold 700 at the wheels with a 3200 vigilante stall...nasty!!! They are in Toms River N.J. or you can e-mail him at tunetimeperformance.com!!!

ive talked to matt 3200 stall way to much for the maggie. im having another tranny built and same guy who did parishs truck (blue 10 second silverado). handle 700 rwhp easy and only 2200.

Sounds pretty impressive. I bet you wish you would have gone with an AWD TBSS now huh? Seems like it would add the finishing touch to your setup. I know what its like having a blower with RWD. At least you have traction control though. With my front driveshaft out I cant hook up for anything. Its really no fun even trying!

tired of awd had a 10.90@133 wrx sti gt40 upgrade and it gets old. i love going sideways up the block. and dont mind slappin the drag rads on at all.

kill list buddy 04z06 ran a 12.1@115 11.97 nova and mid 12 second cars i just pull on. the thing is traction. lose against the 12.1 car and 11.97 car and catch up to them at about 100 and pass by but rolling starts from 20 is where is the sweet spot. the 11.97 nova just pulled on

Yeah thats been my problem for the past few years. Without going to a piggyback its hopeless unless tuning software is developed anytime soon.

didnt gs motorsports have some blower set up that ran like a raped ape. also hennessy i saw had a 600 hp srt8 jeep for like 70k. didnt they mess with the computers?

The GS set-ups have been blowing left and right. As far as Hennessey, 27k for his kit is crazy and nobody trusts him.

I SEE gs in many magazines thats why i thought they had a good kit. i guess not.
