: Urban Chrysler Dodge Jeep Does Not Honor Their Promises-AVOID AVOID AVOID
Sheri'SRT8 03-24-2007, 10:49 PM As some of you may know, I was to complete a deal and take delivery on a 2006 300C SRT8 right after the Spring Festival of LX's in Orange County today. It was to be the conclusion of my arranging the details with them earlier in the week, knowing I would be in OC today. Urban C/D/J is about 15 minutes from the DCX west coast HQ, the location of today's awesome LX event.
I had all details worked out, in writing via e mails, during the week. These details included the purchase price of the car, trade in value of my car, and my being able to use the 0% financing that is available. I have successfully purchased other vehicles in this fashion with excellent, happy results.
In the end, even though I had everything in writing from their internet "specialist", they did not honor their numbers. Since they did not hold up their end of the bargain, I walked.
This dealer, which has a huge 2006 inventory, is NOT TO BE TRUSTED, and should be avoided. If they are not dishonest, they are completely INCOMPETENT and unethical.
Yes, I am disappointed that the deal did not go through. This is precisely why the new car industry continues to have such a bad image.
ResumeSpeed 03-25-2007, 12:36 AM Sorry to hear this. What were the numbers quoted prior vs when you went to pick it up?
FoleySRT8 03-25-2007, 07:07 AM Morning,
Sorry to hear about that...not sure if you are interested, but give Don at Champion Dodge/Chyrsler/Jeep a call...he is delivering my wife's new GC SRT8 today..I was talking with Don yesterday for a friend and my friend is looking for a 300c SRT8 as well...Don stated he had several on his lot and would be able to provide a fantastic price and deliver it...you may want to contact him...
Again...sorry to hear about your experience, that happened to me before and it certainly puts a sour taste regarding dealerships...so far, the dealership that delivered my 06 CSRT8 and now Champion and Don Conrad with the GCSRT8, some faith in honest car sales has been restored...
shodanusmc 03-25-2007, 07:58 AM Just walk into another dealer and ask for the GM or SM...talk to them face to face. Buy your car near where you live.
FoleySRT8 03-25-2007, 08:36 AM I agree to start with a local dealership, however, here in Texas, I tried several dealerships, both in San Antonio and other major cities with no luck...I spoke with the GM and while the salesmen quoted the MSPR, the GM said he would take a $1K off...not very impressive...
Start local, but do not settle if you are not getting the deal you are looking for...for me, I was concerned about the price I was going to pay for the vehicle, plus the value of my trades...many dealers will give yhou a low price on one, and steal on the other...that is a no go...
Don Conrad with Champion will shoot you straight...just recommend you speak with him as an option...
Just my two cents...
Sheri'SRT8 03-25-2007, 09:04 AM Dealing locally is the best way to go, but they don't have any cars. I don't really "need" this car, and in light of the fact that I am in the tax business, I have no time to spare. I did the long distance thing with the Jeep because the product was just unobtainable.
The dealer I went to was very close to the LX event I was at, and that's why I dealt with them.
I have to be able to see the car. If I have a car shipped from the midwest, there is going to be a problem, and them I'm stuck.
They are just incompetent, and that's why they have such a huge inventory of leftover 2006 vechilces.
promo718 03-25-2007, 01:31 PM what was the price difference?
OurZoo 03-25-2007, 11:17 PM Wow David, I'm sorry to hear that. I was looking forward to seeing the new ride.

You should see some of the complaints that DCX receives as a result of their dealer network. Unacceptable no matter how you look at it. Sorry to see this is another one of them. If you don't mind driving - I got a great deal and excellent service from Victorville Chrysler Jeep. It's a drive from LA but it's a nice one if the traffic isn't too bad. John Williford is the Internet/Fleet guy and he'll give you good pricing.

Sheri'SRT8 03-26-2007, 12:10 PM Wow David, I'm sorry to hear that. I was looking forward to seeing the new ride.
I was sorry to see it happen as well. Believe me, it's no biggie, as my 300C is perfectly fine. It was just a big waste of time for me...and a bit of a disappointment.
Time will tell. I am a willing bettor that the same vehicle will be there on the lot for weeks to come.
