I dont think that its been done yet but i need to override my TCM for a new manual transmission. Some one please help has anyone doe this,working on it, or have any ideas????

I would ask MHP because I know they sell Custom TCM's for our Beasts.

You shouldn't need a TCM with a manual. Should be fun killing it and not having the PCM go Ape Nuts. Good luck. Curious as to what tranny would possibly work or fit in there. Are you still keeping it AWD?

if i can find a way to not have the pcm go nuts i will be putting in a 4STB 3 speed transmission with a Chrysler bell housing and a 4800 stall i believe. the awd will be kept my tranny shop has a plan for that ill have to get more details.

Been there, done that. A good tuner should be able to handle this with the CMR software. You will need to keep the TCM in the truck though for everything to play nice... BJB went through this with the 4L80E/Hummer Tcase conversion....

im having my local race shop to the instalation but everyone tells me the transmission will be rejected and the truck will go crazy

i talked to my srt specialist and he said cat happen and my dodge performance place told me t will be a 75k project? the good news is my transmission shop got every thing figured out and has direct fit parts but they are not responsible for my computers. If this doesn't work i will be using one of builder bills transmissions who has one?how is it? it sounds sick.

Well nobody has broken a Bbill tranny yet. What does that tell you:eek:

Yeah, Not sure why you want to go the expensive route of adding a Ford trans when the A580 stuff has been proven to hold at almost 1000rwhp. BJB went through this (Non-A580 conversion) back when the A580 stuff was in it's infancy. His latest build has a BB A580/Tcase combo with Trans Brake, SFI Apprioved Flex Plate and Billet 4k converter. I know what he spent on the 4L80E conversion and he could have bought several BBs trannies before he would have equaled the cost of the conversion. Save your time and money, Stick with the A580.
