Well, I can't let you select few just talk badly about Bill's new humps (which I still say look great).

ge2.. are you getting your humps with black leather?
Nope the humps are done. I had those four pieces done in piano black, via hydrographics. I'll have better pics on Monday. You can look at http://www.patterntek.com for more info and samples of their work. Basically, they sand and smooth the piece, then put a base coat on, floowed by clear, then dip the piece into a tub that has a pattern film floating on the surface. In this case, there is no pattern, just a gloss film. I came very close to doing carbon fiber (in hydrographics, they call it silver weave, because although it looks like c/f, it's really just a patterned film), but just decided with the rest of the black upholstery I have going in..... piano black would look cool.
squigmang 03-24-2007, 02:39 PM i agree the black was a solid choice. i had carbon fiber in a previous vehicle and got tired of it after a short while. i love the look of carbon fiber but you can never get sick of jet black, love it
MatFab 03-24-2007, 02:44 PM GE2 just trade your truck in for a black and swap the mods... i know you want to. btw parts look great
Nah-- the interior on the black one is the same as mine. Swapping wouldn't do me any good. :)

Can they do the humps in carbon fiber
The black weave is gorgeous. I had it done (with a tan baseboat) in a previous ride, and it looked awesome. They usually can do about a 2 week turnaround. Just depends on their work load. I have had 3 different companies do this type of work in the past, and After switching to PT a couple of years ago, I'll never switch. They are great to work with.
Can they do the humps in carbon fiber
Yes... they can do them in one of MANY patterns.

I just ran down to my garage how do those 2 humps come out I didn't see any screws I just took a quick look are they held in with clips or screws under
Just clips. Push and pull and they pop right out. No tricks to it at all.

One more question for you I just ran down it was easy just 1 pull and the pieces were off what kind of money do they charge I just want the 2 humps done in black weave also what do they do about the vents and the black piece around the radio does everything get carbon fiber ar can you tell them to leave certain pieces alone
Mango 03-24-2007, 08:55 PM I can't wait to see the installed pictures.

DRIHEAT 03-28-2007, 01:04 PM Looks very good. When I put in my 30 years in the Bellevue/Redmond (overcast & rainy) area of WA I would've liked that set-up too. However, in AZ I would be blinded the first time I drove it during daylight hours!:D
kramsay1234 03-28-2007, 01:28 PM Looks very cool. Can't wait to see what goes next with it! ;)
BuilderBill 03-28-2007, 01:59 PM Nice!
What are we going to do with the "Jeep" in the center of the shift knob?
I just don't care for the billet knobs.
I'm going to go the billet route, but have it either powder coated or anodized, until I can find another replacement. I want fabric, rather than metal, but the billet will be a nice change for awhile.
RonConcept 03-28-2007, 03:15 PM Ge... Looks Great!
squigmang 03-28-2007, 07:09 PM looks great ge2. i love the black in the interior, im so jelous!!
Mango 03-28-2007, 07:15 PM Dude....WHY!??!
Now I have to spend MORE money on my interior. =P
Looks amazing man, thanks for being an inspiration to many of us.
It will really come together with the rest of the black upholstery I think.
Street WK 03-28-2007, 07:54 PM Looks great... I can't wait to see the finishing touches with everything?
I noticed you had a lot of custom work done to your Expeditions as far as the sound system... Anything like that with the SRT8 instore?
Nope-- I'm not really into sound stuff all that much. The only reason for the fancy systems in the past was because they were fully sponsored and for the show scene.
OurZoo 03-29-2007, 12:28 AM Looks good. The upholstery will bring it more together for sure. How about painting the center bezel or the steering wheel piano black as well? Just a thought?

Anybody able to email me the pics.
I cant see them here at work because of some odd reason.
