Received the leather (Medium slate gray L7454) clad dash humps and installed them this am. About a 4 minute job. Looks very stock....probably what the '08's will have.

I sent mine off (per GE2 recommendation) to:
Upholstery 1
6609A Windmill Way
Wilmington, NC 28405
910 392-3467

$ 165.00 + NC tax and shipping

Yeeeeehawwww!!! Those look great! How do you like them? Right color? Good finish? Man, from the pics, they look just perfect!
My humps get here on monday. I'm sick of driving with that silly white reflection we get when the humps are removed.

They ordered the exact leather used in other areas of the JGC. Great fit and finish...very pleased. I know some prefer the carbon fiber humps, but my goal is to have more of a "sleeper" looking JGC. Lots of power and a little more plush interior. Oh yeah, the engine bling....never ends!

Wow-- I am SOOOO loving those. I've been sitting here looking at the pics over and over again.

Really glad that shop did you right! I'm sure they'll get lots more business from members here, after people see your humps. LOL-- that sounded wrong.

For only $165 + tax??? I am sure they will get plenty of business.

What is the turn around time on them?

Looks very stock.

Looks ok and the price is amazing, but the stock ones will definitely look much more better.

The stitching with yours and cornering is not that good.

Look at the stock leather work

Obviously you don't realize that we can NOT purchase those at any cost here in the US. So, this not being a show vehicle, I am very pleased. Actually, the quality of the new humps is as good as the quality of my Mercedes SL interior!

you go so far to mention that the stitching is bad but you didn't notice that the color is wrong? (the factory humps are not medium slate gray)

But then I would ask the leather guy for better stitching.

Yours look like the first series of leather interior DCX made starting the wk.

Bill - how did you decide between the medium slate grey (seat and center console leather colour) and the darker grey they use on the dash and they use on the euro models?

I can't comment on what looks better because the only ones I have ever seen prior to yours were pics of the euro models where they used the darker colour. I think comments on colour stem from the fact that the darker grey on the euro models is what everyone has in their minds.

Clearly you made a choice on the colour and did so for a reason. Now that you have it installed you seem to be pumped about them so it doesn't sound like you are having any second thoughts about the choice. So how did you decide? And the stitching looks fine to me. I can see this blending well when sitting in the truck looking at the whole package.

Tiny bit of method to my madness. My reason was that I am going to have the "A" pillar posts clad in the matching leather due to having the boost gauge installed in the left pillar. The "A" pillars are the lighter color and thought that all should match when in the drivers seat. Sitting in the driver seat now, they look pretty good. Even though I have a spare humps ready to send off, I will probably stay with the original plan of all the leather in medium slate gray...humps and "A" pillars.

Once again, if I could have gone to the dealer and purchased the Euro humps for $ 160.00 the new "A" pillars would be clad in the darker leather. It would have been the easier way out certainly.

I don't know if it would be easier per se. I think firstly that $160 is cheap. only a couple of rm360 antennas worth. I would consider doing it if there was someone in Toronto that could do a good job for the same. Any thoughts to doing any parts of the door panels...I am sure you are worried that once you get rolling you will have the whole interior leather.

Sorry if the info is out there but I am confused here. What is the deal with that factory looking photo with the leather trimmed doors and leather trimmed "humps?"

From what I get here, the Euro models do and have come that way..? IS that true!?

If so, what the **** was Chrysler thinking when they didn't do that here. We care just as much about plush interior here as they do here.

Additionally, if it is factory in Europe, I see ya'll mention that they cannot be purchased for us in the states. What would prevent me from having a friend overseas buy them himself and then ship them to me....?
