I don't have a 440 cubic inch engine Vinny, so there's an 80% chance Chris will take this one. However, a smaller pulley will make up for some of the size disparity, so a rematch will be held eventually. I'll be back in three weeks with a little more boost. :D

By the way, you aint getting my Vortech, no way, no how! That is unless and I blow the engine and buy a 440. :D

How are you launching it? What works best for me and others around here is not to power-brake, traction control off and shift it in 1st and let it up-shift by itself at WOT.

I always put it in 1, TC off, but I was stalling up to 2K and launching. Wasnt getting wheelspin but I wonder if stalling it for too long was causing the computer to slow me down??

Looks like I will be there, but the Jeep may not. :( This morning my belt tensioner self destructed and a piece of it pierced the radiator. It may be repaired in time, but it's highly unlikely. :(

The radiator is going in right now and the oem tensioner will go in tomorrow when it arrives. It was sent overnight, so there are no guarantees it will arrive. Hopefully it makes it here early. A tensioner alone wouldn't have been a big deal, but since it took out the radiator this is going to be a $6-700 mishap. :(

Grip.....I sh!t my pants when it happened, I bet you did too...Loud Boom and the engine temps start to shoot thru the roof. I limped mine home and put it in the garage . I went to "Advanced Autoparts" and they had one in stock.

It's not an "OEM" Jeep/Mopar part, but I'm sure it's the same as OEM (didn't upgrade..no)

The problem I see with the OEM tensioner is it's aluminum. I think us supercharger guys need a more robust steel tensioner. There are some aftermarket ones I saw today online that I'll eventually upgrade to. Unfortunately, I'm stuck with another OEM tensioner until I get back to Tennessee.

Thats the thing. If all the Jeeps plan on staying in the same group to race each other than its either you go or you don't. There's really no time to race and than come back and hand off your helmet to the next guy. I hate to rain on your parade but thats just how it goes there. Very quick.

OK guys, here's the scoop...
We had a total of 7 jeeps racing and 2 not racing.
There was tons of cars braking tonight and the waiting time was just ridiculous, we all had a total of only 2 runs.

Chris and Ant race each other the first time and Ant end up winning that one... I'll leave it at that, but it's on video :D The second time we raced Chris ran a better time than Ant's (also on video I think).
I raced an old Oldsmobile with a crazy cam, I swear that thing sounded like it was going to kick my a$$, but end up running a 15 something to my 12.7. Then on my 2nd run I raced a TBSS, he ran a 14.2 and I ran another 12.7, on both of my runs I ran a 1.7 60 ft.

I'll let the others comment on their runs.

BTW, Eddiefig took tons of pics and video, can't wait til he post them up :D.

I killed a mazda 3 with stickers which was suprising cause we all know they are good for at least 10 hp a piece. I ran a 12.9.

Second run was against an old 5.0 mustang with pillar gauges, drag radials, and I'm not sure on the mods. I killed him from the start but he just barely snuck by me at the end :( I went 12.845 with a 1.803 60', my new personal best :D and he was one of the people that didnt want his time displayed.

it was good meeting every one it was alot of fun but we waited way to long and there were tons of ricer burners out there

Hopefully a revised CMR tune can wake it up a little bit but I dont know if it can get you the 3 tenths. Maybe next time switch drivers with someone and see if they can do better. If they do than you just need some seat time :) Also maybe you can get an underdrive pulley, should help. I want one!!
