I just read a post on my GT500 forums and thought i'd share for future safety.
A person walked into Advance auto parts and bought their 5 quarts and filter deal which they usually have ever so often. Jacked the car up drained the oil, put the new filter on, and started adding oil. The first 4 quarts were fine but the 5th seal was missing. He looked in the bottle and saw the oil had grime and dirt and was that "nasty-brown-time-to-change-the-oil-color". Well now he was stuck w/ 4 quarts of oil in his only available car. He called up Advance and the manager brought over the 5th quart needed directly to his house. Later the manager found 3 other quarts of oil that was used. (returned to the shop).
Moral of the story: Check every quart before buying that it is sealed air tight and the seal hasn't been altered with. While adding the oil make sure you pay close attention to the color instead of focus on that funnel. It sickens me that people return used oil in quart containers to get there money back. It could also be a different type of oil put back in the bottles.
(If this helps one person catch some bad-oil this post was worth it.)
