What do u guys think about tinting your own lights (headlights, tail lights, rear and front fogs? is it worth tinting them myself or just buying some smoked lights to replace them?
I wanna hear everyones 02 good bad in-different w.e u gotta say let me know!
DONOT tint your tails
They will melt/warp in time
You need to buy a set of LED tails, than get those tinted

^^^^^^^^^^ i would say hundreds of users on this board alone have tinted tails. about 20 cases of melting..............so lets not call 'doomsday' on tinted tails.
some people in texas heat for 2+ years, nary a problem. other member in canada, less heat. had melting. dont put cold water on hot tail lights.......
I have 2years and 2 months of tinted tails. Mine are perfect. im in CO. we have blue sky and sunshine 300 days a year..........
now back to the OP question
forgot tinting them yourself. use a professional painter. if they know what they are doing, you wont have an issue. and they will look wonderful.

no condensation issues vinny?....i'd say you can tint them but not too dark and if you do want to go dark then consider either replacing the stock bulbs with LEDs (req. resistors) or go the aftermarket LED tail route....

I did not know... I thought it was a guarantee that it would melt.

PM'd back, Mine where on for a year with no problems. No Heat gun, this is pure speculation, But some think it has to do with the Tint keeping the heat from the bulb in, causing the tails to melt.

gotya is it costly to have them tinted if it dose then i may just be better off buying a set of led smoked or black tails.
