I finally did it. Placed the order today for a 2010 black srt fully loaded. I have been waiting for this day for years. Now I only have to wait till the end of december.

It will be my daily driver and I had a few questions. I am sure there will be plenty more to come but for now here are a few.

It will be garaged but is there any special thing I should do to the undercarriage. Or is the factory coating good?

What about the paint. I have always owned black cars. My 99 turbo diesel(the trade) had the crappiest paint job. If you leaned against the bed with a shirt with buttons, it would scratch it. I want this paint to last. Any suggestions.

Lastly I do plan on modding(forced induction of some kind) it but not for a couple of years. I plan on a tune and CAI immediatly. Who has the best tune and intake. Will this void my warranty.

I would also like to lower the stance, any suggestions. Or reasons not to do this.

Thanks in advance, looking forward to becoming part of the community!

Hey Rob -- welcome.
There's a few CAIs which appear to be the most popular -- Bwoody, AFe and Volant. Each will do the job from what I've read yet some members report each one has a different 'sound' or provides some additional changes to their exhaust sound.

As for tuners, you need to purchase a DiabloSport Predator. It comes with a CAI tune (canned tune) that works very well from what I've heard. You can always opt for a CMR tune by one of the supporting vendors here (MHP, AJ, HHP etc) yet I would caution that for the $$ on a custom tune, you should wait for additional mods to really get the most out of your $$.

I too have had many black cars. Been detailing for a while now there is a member here who is a professional detailer. I found Autogeek.net. they have everything you could ever want to detail and maintain your car, not just products either, even instructional videos and articles comparing sealants to wax, what makes a microfiber towel good quality etc. due check them out.

ohh and btw. The Thread "did anybody get their 2010 yet" Has a phone number and link you can use to track the status of your truck once you get the VON ( vehicle order #) from your dealer. Good luck

as far as lowering the stance no coilovers are available. Most people here seem to lean towards Bwoody springs due to the Eibachs having some Bumbstop issues. I myself prefer the stance of eibachs as they are slightly higher in the rear. Many many great threads here with these guys all chiming in on their experience with both. check em out.
